Kawhi Leonard "Feeling Good"

According to Los Angeles Clippers head coach Ty Lue, forward Kawhi Leonard (knee) will be ready for training camp in October. "I speak to him all the time," Lue said during an interview with ESPN. "He's feeling good, and I know he'll be ready for training camp." Leonard finished the 2023-24 campaign by averaging 23.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.6 steals. He also made 41.7% of his tries from deep. However, although Leonard appeared in 68 games, his most since 2016-17, he suffered a knee injury late in the season, causing him to miss most of the playoffs and the 2024 Summer Olympics. With Paul George signing a deal with Philadelphia this offseason and Russell Westbrook now in Denver, the Clippers need Leonard to stay healthy. Unfortunately, that's been an issue for the 33-year-old throughout his career, something managers must strongly consider during fantasy drafts. But if Leonard can stay on the floor, he has MVP potential.

P.J. Tucker Accepts Player Option

Los Angeles Clippers forward P.J. Tucker has accepted his $11.5 million player option for next season. This seems like a no-brainer for Tucker who probably wasn't going to get a better offer in free agency. The 39-year-old is still a reliable defender, but Tucker doesn't offer much upside on the offensive end of the ball. He'll didn't offer much fantasy value with the Clippers last season. He'll probably have a similar role with the team again, which minutes he'll likely only see minutes in the teens. That being said, fantasy managers can ignore Tucker on draft day.

Suns A Possible Landing Spot For Kris Dunn

The Phoenix Suns are believed to be a landing spot for free-agent guard Kris Dunn. According to Evan Sidery of ESPN, the 30-year-old combo guard could head to Phoenix on the veteran minimum after spending two seasons in Utah, where he started in 35 of his 88 appearances. Dunn has bounced around to five different teams through eight seasons in the NBA and has experienced very mixed results at every stop. During his time in Utah, Dunn averaged 7.4 points, 4.3 assists, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 49.7% from the floor and 39.5% from deep. His defense continues to be the No. 1 reason why teams are interested in his services, and that would be the perfect complement to the big three in Phoenix.

Terance Mann Hopes Paul George Sticks With Clippers

Los Angeles Clippers guard/forward Paul George has been linked with an exit from L.A. via free agency, but teammate Terance Mann hopes to see the nine-time All-Star stick around. Mann was asked on FanDuel TV's Run It Back to have a guess if George will remain a Clipper in 2024-25. "I hope so," said Mann. "But you never know with this free agency stuff." George is reportedly "Plan A" for the Philadelphia 76ers in free agency, with the Orlando Magic also seen as a potential landing spot for him.

Nicolas Batum A Priority For Philadelphia

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer's Keith Pompey, the 76ers are hoping to bring back forward Nicolas Batum. The veteran was traded to Philadelphia early in the 2023-24 campaign after spending three seasons with the Clippers. He appeared in 57 games for the Sixers last season. While Batum was a welcome addition to the roster, he played well enough in his 38 starts by averaging 5.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists. The Sixers hold his Bird Rights, so it's possible he could remain with the franchise. However, Batum likely won't be a consistent fantasy option anytime soon, although he has streaming potential when given extra minutes.
