Indiana Pacers guard/forward Bennedict Mathurin sprained his left ankle against Utah on Monday and didn't finish the game. It was an awful ending to Mathurin's first start since Nov. 19. He had 11 points in the contest with 5-for-10 shooting. Mathurin has averaged the fifth-most minutes among Pacers players this season and is sitting third in scoring, so his absence will definitely be felt if the 21-year-old can't play in Thursday's matchup against the Kings.

Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam (back) is officially active for Friday's meeting with Utah. The veteran didn't suit up for Wednesday's matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers because of back spasms, opening the door for Dennis Schroder to enter the starting lineup and finish with 22 points. Schroder will presumably head back to the bench. However, he should see enough action to remain relevant for fantasy managers, considering Jakob Poeltl (ankle) won't be available for a few weeks. Of course, Siakam remains a must-start in any fantasy league imaginable.

Although Schroder will head back to the bench, assuming Siakam officially gets the green light, he should get enough minutes to remain relevant in most fantasy setups, especially with Jakob Poeltl (ankle) sidelined for a few weeks.

Siakam is an extremely late addition to the injury report due to back spasms. This is odd timing given the recent trade rumors surrounding the star forward. Nonetheless, Chris Boucher figures to move into the starting five if Siakam is unable to play. He'd be worth a look as a possible streaming option if given extended playing time. Fantasy managers will have to check back for another update closer to tip-off.

An MRI on Tuesday on Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton (hamstring) revealed a Grade 1 left hamstring strain, and he is expected to be re-evaluated in approximately two weeks. There is relief that Haliburton avoided a serious injury, however, after he slipped on the floor during Monday's game versus the Boston Celtics and had to be carried off the court by his teammates. The 23-year-old rising superstar goes down with an NBA-high 12.5 assists per game to go with averages of 23.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.4 three-pointers and 1.1 steals in 33.4 minutes across 34 games. T.J. McConnell is rightfully Tuesday's highest-added fantasy player in Yahoo leagues, having averaged 14.3 points, 8.2 assists, 4.5 boards, and 1.6 swipes in 20 games without Haliburton in 2022-23. Bruce Brown and Andrew Nembhard should also spend more time with the ball in their hands while Haliburton is sidelined.
