The Hornets acquired forward Josh Okogie from the Suns on Wednesday night. In exchange, Phoenix will receive center Nick Richards. Okogie has averaged only 6.0 points and 2.9 rebounds this season. But he'll at least bring his defensive prowess with him to a Hornets squad that has allowed 112.4 points per game during the 2024-25 campaign. With that in mind, unless there is an injury in the starting lineup, Okogie likely won't have much value for fantasy managers.

Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (ankle/wrist) will be able to play on Sunday night as his Hornets hit the road to face the Cavaliers. Ball has missed the last three games for the Hornets but will be able to return after initially being listed as questionable. Brandon Miller (ankle) is also available, so the Hornets will have their key scorers in place for this tough road matchup. Ball has been excellent when available this season, averaging 30.1 points, 7.4 assists, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.3 steals in 33.4 minutes per game. He leads the NBA with a 37.6% usage rate, and he brings a high ceiling any time he's on the floor.

Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (ankle, wrist) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Ball has missed each of Charlotte's last three games. He's been a very solid fantasy option when healthy, averaging 30.1 PPG as one of Charlotte's only dynamic options outside of Brandon Miller. If active he will be a top fantasy option against a Cleveland team that is prone to receiving damage from three-point shooters. If Ball is unable to go, expect Brandon Miller to get the lion's share of usage in Charlotte's offense. However, Miller is also questionable and if he can't go then the next best option would be Miles Bridges.

Charlotte Hornets forward Cody Martin (knee) is available ahead of Friday's game against the Detroit Pistons. Martin will make his return to the court after missing each of the last two games due to a left knee contusion. The expectation is that Martin is going to have his normal workload on Friday. Possibly, Martin takes on a bigger role with Brandon Miller (ankle) still sidelined. Martin hasn't been a great fantasy option this season, but is worth a look as a streaming option with Miller out.

Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (ankle, wrist) remains out on Friday versus Detroit. Melo has been sidelined the last two games, most recently missing Monday's overtime loss to the Chicago Bulls. There was hope that extra time in between contests would allow Ball to get right. Unfortunately, that's not the case, so his next chance to suit up will be on Sunday in Cleveland. With Brandon Miller (ankle) also out, Miles Bridges is expected to lead the way offensively. However, there's room for Mark Williams, Seth Curry, and Vasilije Micic to get more involved than usual.
