Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown (pelvis) is listed as questionable ahead of Thursday's game against the Denver Nuggets. This is a new injury as Brown has been dealing with a knee problem lately. Luckily, the knee issue appears to be behind him, so hopefully this new pelvic strain won't be a long-term issue. Sam Hauser or Al Horford will be asked to move into the starting five if Brown is unable to play. Whoever starts would be worth looking at as a possible streaming option on Thursday.
Boston Celtics guard/forward Jaylen Brown (knee) has shaken off a questionable tag and will be available for Tuesday's contest against the Cavaliers. He has overcome a left knee contusion to make his sixth consecutive appearance. Brown needed only 22 minutes of action on Sunday to record a 29-point outing against Golden State, and his offensive output has greatly improved since the All-Star break. In five games following the All-Star weekend, Brown has averaged 27.2 points with 45.2 percent shooting from deep. His shots from downtown haven't dropped well in two prior meetings with the Cavaliers this season, but he's still posted 23.5 points.
Boston Celtics forward/center Kristaps Porzingis (quadriceps) will return from a one-game absence on Tuesday versus Cleveland. He's been upgraded from questionable to available after Porzingis missed Sunday's demolition of Golden State with a left quadriceps contusion. Porzingis will likely reclaim his starting role from Al Horford, although the veteran should still have a big role to play on Tuesday against Cleveland's twin towers of Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen. Whilst his overall numbers in the matchup are solid, Porzingis has shot only 12-for-29 from the field against the Cavaliers in two prior meetings this season.
Boston Celtics guard/forward Jaylen Brown (knee) is carrying a questionable tag ahead of Tuesday's fascinating matchup against the Cavaliers. He's on the injury report with a left knee contusion. The injury doesn't sound serious, but it could force Brown out of the lineup for the third time in 12 games. Sam Hauser and Al Horford have picked up starts during Brown's most recent absences. Both players might end up in the starting unit on Tuesday, as Kristaps Porzingis (quadriceps) is also considered questionable for the game. Horford has done a lot better compared to Hauser in a starting role. The 26-year-old sniper has only given a slight boost to his numbers as a starter, putting up 8.8 points with 4.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists.
Boston Celtics forward/center Kristaps Porzingis (quadriceps) is considered questionable for Tuesday's clash with Cleveland. The Latvian big man came out of the lineup with a left quadriceps contusion on Sunday versus Golden State. Al Horford made his 23rd start of the campaign In Porzingis' stead, while Xavier Tillman Sr. saw 18 minutes off the bench and Luke Kornet logged 11 minutes. The minutes for the latter two were inflated due to a one-sided game. Horford has regularly seen 30-plus minutes as a starter, averaging 9.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in the role. He'll be leaned on heavily against Cleveland's big lineup if Porzingis isn't available.
