With the NCAA college basketball season back, we get full DFS slates to analyze every day. There’s a full slate on DraftKings Saturday that starts at 5 p.m. ET.
Below, I’m looking at my favorite core DFS plays for the Saturday slate up and down the price pool.
Big men dream of facing a soft Washington 2-3 zone that is 296th in defensive rebounding. Big O is aggressive around the rim and has a 9% offensive rebounding rate. This is a great spot for a massive double-double, and he should push for 30 minutes if Washington can keep within striking distance.
Ezikpe was once a highly regarded three-star recruit who has since fallen under the radar. He has massive GPP upside as long as he can stay out of foul trouble. VCU struggles on the glass and he sports a 55% combined rebounding rate in just half the minutes. Against Maryland, he posted 19 points, 13 boards, 3 steals and a block in just 23 minutes. Old Dominion is going to need him if they want to pull off the upset, and he has 50-point upside if he can play around 30 minutes.
The Indiana State team was mispriced because the only game they played so far was against Truman State — they might as well have played Blue Mountain State. But we can always get sneaky value from teams with limited data. Key will have the balls in his hands a ton; he’s sporting a 25% possession rating, 24% shot rate and shot 39% from three on 139 attempts last year. Purdue has massive size, so the way to counter that is to make shots, and I expect Key to be taking a majority of them.
