Buffalo Bills running back James Cook rushed 12 times for 32 yards and a touchdown in the team's 34-10 win over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. For the first time this season, Cook did not record a reception. The touchdown saved what was otherwise an inefficient day on the ground. Cook returned to the lineup after a one-game absence and handled the early-down work for the Bills in the first half. Backup rookie Ray Davis (five carries, 41 yards, one touchdown) got the majority of his production in the second half. Expect Cook to remain the starter and handle most of the running back touches against Seattle in Week 8.
Buffalo Bills running back James Cook (toe) logged full practices on Thursday and Friday and doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's matchup against the Tennessee Titans. The toe issue forced Cook to sit out Monday's game against the Jets. He'll step right back into the starting lineup and may not have to worry about Ray Davis (calf) taking away touches. The rookie is questionable following his big game with Cook inactive. The Titans' defense is better against the pass than the ground game. Plus, offensive coordinator Joe Brady appears committed to the run no matter which running back gets the carries. Cook should be locked into fantasy football lineups this weekend.
Buffalo Bills running back James Cook (toe) is expected to play on Sunday, according to Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN. Cook was sidelined last weekend due to a toe injury but looks poised to return after his one-week absence. As a result, rookie Ray Davis led the Buffalo backfield in the Monday night win over the New York Jets and was impressive. Cook opened the week as a limited participant on Wednesday but was upgraded to full participation on Thursday. Fantasy managers should monitor Friday's injury report in case the 25-year-old faces a setback. Cook has averaged 15.7 PPR points per game this season and should be locked into all fantasy lineups as a high-end RB2 facing the Tennessee Titans this weekend if he's active.
