Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts completed 10 of 14 pass attempts for 114 yards and a touchdown, adding 22 yards on seven carries with two successful Brotherly Shove touchdown runs during the team's 28-3 win over the New York Giants. While the offense failed to score in the first quarter for the sixth time, Hurts ripped off a ton of scoring on efficient low passing numbers to lead to a great fantasy performance. The Eagles leaned heavily on Saquon Barkley in this game, rightfully so, leading to Hurts throwing just 10 completions. However, he scored three times and will finish the week as a top-five fantasy quarterback. Most importantly, the 26-year-old has his second straight game with zero turnovers, and that was while being sacked five times. It is nice to see Hurts score as much as he did while passing fewer than 15 times, and he will continue to be a must-start next week when a suddenly alive Eagles offense takes on the Bengals in Cincinnati.
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts will go on the road to take on the division rival New York Giants in Week 7. The 26-year-old looked much better last week coming out of the bye week and getting back his top two receivers, tallying 297 yards, two touchdowns, and most importantly zero turnovers. The Eagles offense currently has injuries to deal with as star left tackle Jordan Mailata (hamstring) and starting tight end Dallas Goedert (hamstring) are out this week with the former being placed on injured reserve. This is unfortunate for Hurts but does not move the needle much on his fantasy value overall. The Giants' defense has been solid this season for fantasy purposes, but the most points they give up go to the quarterback position, where they rank 13th in fantasy points allowed. After a strong showing last week, fantasy managers can fire up the Eagles starter with confidence as a top-five option at the position in Week 7.
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts completed 16 of 25 passes for 264 yards and two touchdowns, adding 14 carries for 33 yards during the team's 20-16 win over the Cleveland Browns. With both of his top weapons back at full strength, the 26-year-old had a much better outing than his previous three showings. The offense was still a bit slow to start, but Hurts was able to lead the Eagles on a scoring drive in the early second quarter and was able to hit A.J. Brown in the endzone on a drive soon after. Perhaps even more important than the solid passing total was his zero in the turnover department. Hurts has struggled with turning the ball over in 2024, but held onto the ball this week and completed some tough throws through tight coverage, especially to star receiver A.J. Brown. The Eagles signal caller did lose starting tight end Dallas Goedert (hamstring) on the first drive of this game and could be without him for a few weeks. With that said, Grant Calcaterra stepped in and showed off his explosiveness a few times against Cleveland, so there are capable hands ready to fill in for the veteran. Hurts will go on the road to face the division-rival New York Giants in Week 7 and should be considered a high-end QB1 in that matchup.
