Luke Raley Tallies Three Extra-Base Hits

Seattle Mariners outfielder Luke Raley had his power stroke working on Thursday, going 3-for-5 with two doubles and a homer in a 6-4 win over the Oakland Athletics. Raley added two RBI and a run scored to round out his line. The 29-year-old hasn't been quite as good as he was last year for Tampa Bay, but since the start of August he has looked terrific, smashing seven homers and batting .283 with an OPS over 1.000. He can be a solid streaming option in fantasy and even a starter in deeper leagues when he's on.

Luke Raley Takes A Seat

Seattle Mariners outfielder Luke Raley is out of the starting lineup ahead of Tuesday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays. Fantasy managers don't need to worry as his absence doesn't appear to be injury related. Raley missed a game over the weekend due to an illness, but he appears to be fine now. He'll take a seat against a tough lefty Jeffrey Springs. Justin Turner will cover first base and bat sixth during Tuesday's game. The 39-year-old has seen a regression at the plate during the 2024 season. Turner is hitting a lackluster .214 with one home run and 10 RBI in 21 games with the Mariners. The veteran slugger can be avoided in most fantasy formats.

Luke Raley Returns On Monday

Seattle Mariners outfielder/first baseman Luke Raley (illness) is back in the starting lineup ahead of Monday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays. This is good news after Raley was scratched from Sunday's contest due to flu-like symptoms. It must've been a minor issue as Raley is in the leadoff spot and covering first base against right-hander Ryan Pepiot on Monday. Raley has been a viable option at the plate against right-handed pitching. He's hitting .247 with 14 home runs and 38 RBI this season. He should be worth a look as a streaming option for Monday's slate.
