Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tanner Hudson is not a viable fantasy option in Week 11 when his team lines up against the Los Angeles Chargers on the road at SoFi Stadium. The seventh-year veteran has seen his usage tick up since rookie TE Erick All Jr (knee) went down for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL. In Week 10, Hudson had his best outing of the season when he churned out 42 yards and a touchdown on 6-of-7 receiving against a sieve-like Baltimore Ravens defense. However, he'll have a much more difficult outing this weekend against one of the top defenses in the league. The Chargers are affording opposing tight ends an average of 4.7 fantasy points per outing and are the top scoring defense in the NFL -- letting up just 13.1 points per game. Additionally, the 30-year-old will continue to contend with teammate Mike Gesicki for targets and now has wide receiver Tee Higgins (quad) back in the fold, vying for his own share. Hudson is RotoBaller's PPR TE28 ahead of Week 11's outing.
Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tanner Hudson had 42 yards and a touchdown off six catches in Thursday's loss to the Ravens. With Erick All Jr. (knee) done for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign, Hudson had a chance to get more involved behind Mike Gesicki. He made the most of his opportunity, although Cincinnati couldn't pull off a win. Hudson easily had his best showing of the season on Thursday. However, the 29-year-old still has more work to do before earning a spot in fantasy lineups moving ahead.
Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tanner Hudson and wide receiver Trenton Irwin are both healthy scratches for the big Week 5 divisional clash on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens. Hudson hasn't been active for the Bengals since the Week 1 loss to the New England Patriots, when he caught two of his three targets for 18 yards. For now, he remains well off the fantasy radar in all leagues behind Mike Gesicki, rookie Erick All Jr. and Drew Sample. Irwin is inactive for the second straight week after Tee Higgins returned to the fold for the Bengals in last week's win over the Carolina Panthers. In two games in 2024, Irwin has just two receptions on eight targets for 11 yards. The Bengals will roll forward with Ja'Marr Chase, Higgins, Andrei Iosivas, rookie Jermaine Burton and Charlie Jones at the receiver position versus Baltimore.
Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tanner Hudson (knee) is officially inactive for Week 4 versus the Carolina Panthers. He had been listed as questionable but will ultimately miss his third consecutive contest. Hudson hasn't played since Week 1 when he caught two passes for 18 yards and lost a fumble. Mike Gesicki, Drew Sample, and Erick All have looked solid at the tight end position this year, so even when Hudson is healthy, he might not have much of a role on offense. He should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.
Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tanner Hudson (knee) officially did not practice Friday. After opening the week as a back-to-back non-participant, Hudson will have one more chance to get in a limited session on Saturday to help his case for suiting up Monday night when the team hosts the visiting Washington Commanders. He was one of four Bengals TEs to record a snap in Week 1 but has yet to suit up since. In the meantime, teammate Mike Gesicki showed out this past Sunday in Cincinnati's 26-25 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, hauling in 7-of-9 targets for 91 yards -- despite playing the fewest snaps of the active tight ends. Gesicki may have separated himself from Hudson, Drew Sample, and rookie Erick All Jr., but that is not guaranteed. Regardless, Hudson can be off fantasy manager's radars as the team's third TE.
