Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans is coming off a dud performance against the Detroit Lions. The veteran wideout hauled in three of his six targets for 42 yards in the win. It was a quiet game for Evans as he watched fellow wideout Chris Godwin tear up the Lions defense. Now, Evans will draw a tough matchup against Denver Broncos star defensive back Patrick Surtain. Evans always has big-play explosiveness, but could be held in check once again. Throughout the years, Evans has proven to be mostly reliable, so fantasy managers should feel comfortable with him as a WR2 for Week 3.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans was unable to carry his Week 1 success into Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions. The veteran wideout finished with 61 yards and two touchdowns in the season opener. However, he was only able to haul in three receptions for 42 yards in the Week 2 win over the Detroit Lions. Evans and quarterback Baker Mayfield weren't on the same page here as Evans only hauled in half of his targets. Fellow wideout Chris Godwin had a much better performance with over 100 yards on Sunday. Evans should be fine and remain on the WR1 radar for a favorable matchup against the Denver Broncos next week.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans had seemingly no issues as he tore apart the Washington Commanders defense last week. The veteran wideout hauled in five of his six targets for 61 yards and two touchdowns in the blowout win. Evans has been one of the most reliable wideouts over the last decade and that doesn't look like it's going to change anytime soon. He will get a tougher challenge in Week 2 against the Detroit Lions defense. However, the Lions secondary still has holes, so Evans should be able to continue producing WR1 numbers in Week 2.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans had seemingly no issues during Sunday's game against the Washington Commanders. The veteran wideout has been one of the most consistent players throughout his career. That trend continued during Sunday's game as Evans hauled in five receptions for 61 yards and two touchdowns in the win. To be fair, the Commanders secondary is shaky, but Evans took advantage of that with two fairly easy touchdowns. Fantasy managers should be able to plug Evans in as WR1 on a weekly basis going forward.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans has been one of the most consistent wideouts over the last decade. The veteran wideout has finished with at least 1,000 receiving yards in each of the last 10 seasons. He has shown no signs of slowing down and is the clear No. 1 target on this offense. Evans will get an excellent matchup in Week 1. He'll face a Washington Commanders defense that allowed the most receiving yards and receiving touchdowns to wideouts last season. Fantasy managers can continue sliding Evans into their WR1 spot without worry heading into the season opener.
