The 27-year-old star wideout registered a pitiful 5.7 yards per target over 101 targets a year ago in the desert with the Arizona Cardinals, badly fading after a hot start and missing four games with a sore heel, but he'll have a great chance to bounce back as a fringe WR2/3 in fantasy drafts with superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes in 2024. After dropping just one pass over his 51 receptions, Brown should at least give the Chiefs' offense some stability this year after it was plagued by receiver drops last year. With the Rashee Rice situation in a state of uncertainty, Brown's ADP could rise or fall based on when or if Rice gets suspended.

However, the Chiefs offense is loaded, so it could be challenging for him to remain a consistent target for Patrick Mahomes. At any rate, fantasy managers should expect an update on his health on Monday.

While the Chiefs finished the season with the seventh-most total passing yards last season, they were near the bottom with just eight plays of 40 yards or more. This is a significant reason why the Chiefs brought in veteran Marquise Brown, who finished near the top of all receivers last season with 84.6 air yards per game last season. In addition, with the 28th overall selection of this year's NFL Draft, the Chiefs selected Xavier Worthy from Texas, who set a new record in the 40-yard dash at the combine. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes expressed, "I think we've done a great job of mastering the intermediate and short stuff, but we want to get back to having that part of the offense as well." While it is currently unknown who will emerge as alpha in this wide receiver room amid a potential multi-game suspension for Rashee Rice, both of these wideouts will raise Mahomes' weekly ceiling due to their game-changing speed.

He's unlikely to be a volume hog with Kansas City, but he should have chances for several spike weeks catching passes from the best quarterback of his career.

The speedy Brown made a highlight-reel, one-handed catch during 7-on-7 drills on Wednesday and appears to have put the heel injury that bothered him last year in the rearview mirror. Tight end Travis Kelce is going to remain a favorite target of Mahomes in 2024 as long as he's healthy, but the 26-year-old Brown has an opportunity to become heavily involved as well, especially with Rashee Rice likely to be hit with a suspension from the league. The former 25th overall pick by Arizona in 2019 out of Oklahoma had a 1,000-yard receiving season in his final season in Baltimore in 2021.
