Dallas Cowboys wide receiver KaVontae Turpin remains a shaky fantasy option ahead of the Week 15 matchup against the Carolina Panthers. Last week, Turpin hauled in one of his four targets for 16 yards in the loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. He also rushed the ball twice for 15 yards, but he only saw 17 percent of the offensive snaps. The return of Brandin Cooks has pushed Turpin further back on the depth chart in recent weeks. It's hard to imagine Turpin making much of an impact as the fourth or fifth wideout in this offense.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver KaVontae Turpin converted five targets into four catches for a team-high 53 receiving yards during Thursday's Week 13 win over the New York Giants. Turpin is primarily a special teams contributor and is typically inconsistent on offense, but we can't ignore that he has three-plus catches and 50-plus yards in two of his last three games. His expanded role was particularly surprising this week given that Brandin Cooks made his return from injured reserve, so Turpin was fourth on the depth chart. The 28-year-old should be avoided in leagues with 14 or fewer teams, but he's at least worth monitoring in deeper formats.

The score put Dallas up 27-17 with under three minutes to go, although they nearly lost late. Turpin totaled 179 return yards on the day and also caught a pass for eight yards on his lone target. He is off the fantasy radar in most formats, but is an intriguing dart throw in formats that utilize return yardage.

The bulk of his production came on a 64-yard touchdown on the first play of the second quarter. This was Turpin's best game of the year, bringing his season totals to 20 catches, 267 yards, and two touchdowns. The 28-year-old is a talented big-play threat but doesn't have the volume needed to justify rostering him in leagues with 14 teams or fewer.

Turpin was targeted five times, catching four passes for 50 yards. He also rushed once for a six-yard loss. The 28-year-old is not on the fantasy radar at this time even with Brandin Cooks (knee) currently on the shelf. With Jalen Tolbert's breakout Sunday night game, Turpin is no higher than the fourth option in Dallas' passing attack even without Cooks in the lineup. His offensive usage is encouraging as an added dimension to Dallas' offense, but he has not seen consistent enough week-to-week work to be considered a fantasy option.
