New England Patriots wide receiver DeVante Parker (ribs) is listed as questionable for the upcoming Week 18 matchup against the New York Jets. The veteran wideout was limited throughout practice this week. It's looking like Parker could be a legitimate game-time decision for this weekend. If active, Parker doesn't offer much upside as he posted a disappointing season in 2023. At this point, there isn't anyone too reliable on this offense outside of Demario Douglas. The possible absence of Parker could mean increased looks for Douglas this weekend.
New England Patriots wide receivers DeVante Parker (ribs) and Matthew Slater (hamstring) had their practice repetitions limited for the second straight day on Thursday. Parker only played 15 offensive snaps and caught one pass for 15 yards before getting hurt in the Week 17 loss to the Buffalo Bills. The injury doesn't appear to be too serious, but Parker could end up questionable for Sunday's Week 18 regular season finale against the New York Jets. The 30-year-old doesn't have a great matchup in a meaningless game in an offense that leaves a lot to be desired. Parker's matchup isn't great on top of it. He had two catches for 19 yards in the previous meeting with the Jets in Week 3 and should be considered a low-cost DFS dart throw, at best. Parker has 388 yards in 12 games and no touchdowns.
New England Patriots wide receivers DeVante Parker (ribs) and Matthew Slater (hamstring) were listed as limited participants in Wednesday's practice. Parker injured his ribs late in the Week 17 loss to the Buffalo Bills, but a limited session to begin the week means his injury isn't all that serious. The Patriots and Jets have nothing left to play for but draft positioning this year, but Parker figures to suit up this weekend unless he has a setback on Thursday or Friday. The 30-year-old former first-rounder was seeing increased involvement in his last four games (16 catches for 215 yards) before going for just one reception for 15 yards in last Sunday's loss to the Bills. Parker is a hard sell for fantasy managers in a shy-away matchup in Week 18, even with JuJu Smith-Schuster (ankle) on Injured Reserve.
