Buffalo Bills wide receiver Amari Cooper did not see a target in the team's 48-42 victory over the Detroit Lions. Josh Allen threw for 362 yards and the game featured over 1,000 yards of offense. Yet, the veteran receiver was held out of the box score. This is a sharp contrast from last week when Cooper earned 14 targets. The Bills relied on all offensive weapons. Just nine of Allen's 23 completions were to wide receivers. Cooper isn't consistently on the football field (fourth in wide receiver snaps this week) and can't be trusted as a startable fantasy football receiver moving forward.
Wide receiver Amari Cooper (wrist) is one week removed from his most-involved game as a member of the Buffalo Bills. The veteran saw a season-high 14 targets and caught six for 95 yards. Unfortunately, Cooper still hasn't played a full allotment of snaps. Cooper's 53% snap share was the highest mark since he joined the Bills. He's been around 50% for most of his games, despite the absence of Keon Coleman (wrist). The rookie is returning to the lineup this weekend. Tight end Dalton Kincaid (knee) is also expected to be active. Maybe Cooper's limited snaps can be blamed on his wrist issue, but he's been fully practicing for weeks. Cooper is a low-end WR3 in what could be a high-scoring affair in Detroit.
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Amari Cooper caught six passes for 95 yards in the team's 42-44 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The veteran was targeted a team-high 14 times in what was ultimately his busiest game as a member of the Bills. It's encouraging to see Cooper's usage increase as he gets more comfortable with the Buffalo offense and his wrist ailment heals. Unfortunately for fantasy managers who started Cooper, Josh Allen's three passing touchdowns went to Khalil Shakir, Mack Hollins, and Ty Johnson. Cooper and the rest of the Bills travel to face the Detroit Lions in Week 15.
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Amari Cooper (wrist) still appeared on the injury report ahead of Week 14 but doesn't carry an injury designation into the weekend. He fully participated in practice all week. Cooper's play since arriving in upstate New York is more concerning than his wrist. The veteran has yet to play more than 51% of Buffalo's snaps, whether due to injury or game script. He hasn't had more than three targets since his debut with the team. That makes Cooper difficult to trust, despite a positive matchup against the Rams in Los Angeles.
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Amari Cooper caught three passes (on three targets) for 12 yards against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night. While the stat line could be better for fantasy football, the Bills hardly threw the football due to constant snowfall and a dominant ground game. Josh Allen attempted 17 passes. Allen did target the veteran receiver near the endzone. Cooper caught the ball near the five-yard line and got stopped by the defense. He lateraled the ball back to Allen who dove in for six points. Cooper's disappointing play this week can be blamed on the weather, but he hasn't met expectations since arriving in Buffalo.
