New York Giants rookie running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. (ankle) was added to the Week 16 injury report on Wednesday after he put in a limited practice. It's a new injury for Tracy, so his status is worth watching the rest of the week, but if he's able to upgrade to a full practice on Thursday or Friday, he should be fine to play in a Week 16 tilt against the Atlanta Falcons on the road this weekend. The 25-year-old rookie has taken over lead-back duties from Devin Singletary for the majority of the season and has averaged 16.6 touches and 84.5 scrimmage yards in the last 10 games while also adding five rushing touchdowns. The fantasy upside certainly isn't very high given the Giants' pitiful quarterback situation -- Singletary is a threat to vulture TDs as well -- but for the volume alone, Tracy garners RB3/flex appeal if he's active for Week 16.
New York Giants rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers (knee, foot) was listed as a limited practice participant on Wednesday while dealing with two injuries. Fellow wideout Wan'Dale Robinson (shoulder) was also limited in practice. Both players should be available to play in Week 16 against the Atlanta Falcons, but we'll monitor Nabers closely through the rest of the week. New York's quarterback situation has been atrocious in Nabers' first NFL season, which is why his 90-901-4 line in 12 games has been even more impressive. As long as he's active on Sunday, he's expected to be taking passes from Drew Lock again. It isn't ideal, but Nabers needs to be in all starting fantasy lineups if you still have something to play for. With Tommy DeVito and Tim Boyle seeing action in the Week 15 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, Nabers caught 10 of 14 targets for 82 yards and one touchdown.
New York Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito (concussion) was participating in drills at practice on Wednesday, so he's on track to clear the league's concussion protocol by Sunday in order to serve as the backup to starter Drew Lock in Week 16 against the Atlanta Falcons. DeVito made the first start after the team parted ways with Daniel Jones in Week 12 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but a right-forearm injury forced him into a backup role the following two weeks before he made his second start in place of the injured Lock in the Week 15 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The 26-year-old then suffered a concussion on Sunday, but he appears to be making good progress and could be cleared for a backup role this weekend. The second-year signal-caller underwhelmed in his two starts before getting hurt and will be New York's backup as long as Lock can remain healthy through the final three weeks.UPDATE: DeVito was limited on Wednesday.
New York Giants quarterback Drew Lock (elbow, heel) is expected to practice on Wednesday and will make the start in Week 16 against the Atlanta Falcons, according to head coach Brian Daboll. Lock injured his left elbow and heel in the Week 14 loss to the New Orleans Saints and was inactive for the Week 15 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The 28-year-old was in a walking boot last week but appears to have made enough progress to return to the starting role this weekend. In his two starts in Weeks 13 and 14, Lock was underwhelming, going 42-for-81 for 405 yards, no touchdowns, two interceptions and a lost fumble, but he did add 116 rushing yards and a touchdown on nine carries. While Lock probably gives the Giants offense a little more upside than Tommy DeVito, he's nothing more than a desperation QB2 play for fantasy managers in superflex leagues without any other options.
New York Giants tight end Daniel Bellinger turned in a steady performance in Sunday's 35-14 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Playing in his second game as the starting tight end following Theo Johnson's season-ending injury, Bellinger caught all three of his targets for 35 yards, including a 17-yard reception, and averaged 11.7 yards per catch. While his contributions were efficient, he was not a major factor in the red zone and did not record a touchdown. Bellinger finished the game with five fantasy points, providing a reliable but limited role in the Giants' struggling offense.
