Aaron Jones Still Managing Injuries

Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones (finger, knee) remains on the injury report for wild-card week with multiple injuries, but he was listed as limited for the team's walkthrough practice on Wednesday. Jones has dealt with various injuries all season and missed a total of six games during the regular season. However, this is about the healthiest and productive he's been all year heading into the postseason. The 29-year-old didn't find the end zone at all, but he's heading into Sunday's playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys with three straight 100-yard rushing performances. If teammate AJ Dillon (neck, thumb) misses a second straight game, Jones will be even more appealing in DFS at a DraftKings price of $6,300. On the negative side, the matchup isn't great for Jones and he could fall out of the game plan if Green Bay falls behind big early on.

Nick Mullens Nearly Throws For 400 Yards In Season Finale

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Nick Mullens put on a show in the Week 18 loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday by going 30-for-44 for 396 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. He was sacked four times for a loss of 37 yards and ran twice for eight yards. Mullens ended up being Minnesota's best option under center down the stretch after Kirk Cousins suffered a torn Achilles, and the 28-year-old QB finished with a 67.57% completion percentage, 1,306 passing yards, seven touchdowns and eight interceptions in five appearances (three starts). He had 300 yards and multiple touchdowns in all three of his starts, although turnovers were clearly an issue. With Cousins' future in doubt in Minnesota, Mullens' late-season performance could at least put him in consideration for the starting job in 2024 if the Vikes move on from Cousins this offseason.

Johnny Mundt Stays Busy In Loss To Lions

Minnesota Vikings tight end Johnny Mundt had an elevated role yet again in the Week 18 regular season finale against the Detroit Lions on Sunday with T.J. Hockenson (knee) out. The 29-year-old had season-highs in catches (five) and receiving yards (58) while drawing six targets. His 58 receiving yards finished second on the team behind receiver Justin Jefferson's 192 yards. In Week 17, Mundt had four catches for 39 yards and his first touchdown of the year. Fellow tight end Josh Oliver also had two receptions for 31 yards in Sunday's 30-20 loss. Mundt will be venturing into free agency this March as he heads into his eighth season in the NFL. He'll be competing for a backup role with whichever organization he ends up signing with. Mundt had 17 catches for a career-high 172 yards and one touchdown in 17 games in 2023.

Jordan Addison Scores To Cap Off Excellent Rookie Season

Minnesota Vikings rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison capped off an impressive first year in the NFL with four catches on his eight targets for 57 yards and his 10th touchdown of the year in Sunday's 30-20 loss to the Detroit Lions in the regular season finale. In half-PPR scoring, the first-rounder finished as the WR20 in his first full year in the league with an impressive 70 receptions (108 targets) for 911 yards and the 10 scores. It certainly helped that All-Pro wideout Justin Jefferson missed a big chunk of games (six to be exact) in the middle of the season due to a hamstring injury, but Addison made good on his first-round draft pedigree and should form one of the best receiver duos with Jefferson for years to come. Fantasy managers can't bank on double-digit touchdowns from Addison in Year 2, but he should remain highly productive with Jefferson taking plenty of attention away from him.

Ty Chandler Totals 89 Scrimmage Yards In Season Finale

Minnesota Vikings running back Ty Chandler had a strong showing in Sunday's 30-20 loss to the Detroit Lions in the Week 18 regular season finale. Chandler had a team-high 12 carries for 69 yards (5.8 yards per carry) and caught two of his three targets through the air for an additional 20 yards. The 25-year-old second-year back was impressive against a strong Lions run defense and proved down the stretch that the Vikings probably should have gone to Chandler more often earlier in the season over Alexander Mattison. In four starts to close out the year, Chandler averaged 4.87 yards per tote, 258 rushing yards and two touchdowns while also catching eight passes for 69 yards. Going into the offseason, Chandler's fantasy stock will be on the rise as he makes his case to be Minnesota's primary ball-carrier in 2024.
