De'Von Achane, Raheem Mostert Limited Again Wednesday

Both Miami Dolphins running backs De'Von Achane (ribs, toe) and Raheem Mostert (ankle, knee) were limited in Wednesday's practice for the second straight day as they prepare to face the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday in a wild-card playoff contest. Achane has looked good in Miami's lead-back role the last two weeks with Mostert out, but the Dolphins are expecting both Mostert and receiver Jaylen Waddle (ankle) back this weekend, which could give Achane some serious bust potential in DFS as the third-most expensive RB on DraftKings this weekend. Mostert is right behind Achane as the fourth-most expensive RB, also giving him bust potential. In his first game back in a tough road matchup against the defending Super Bowl champions, Mostert, Achane and Jeff Wilson Jr. could all be deployed in a three-headed monster attack.

De'Von Achane Still On The Injury Report

Miami Dolphins rookie running back De'Von Achane (ribs, toe) remains on the injury report for wild-card weekend and was listed as limited on Tuesday's estimated practice report. Achane should be fine to face the Kansas City Chiefs this Saturday. He was Miami's lead RB the last two games with Raheem Mostert (ankle, knee) inactive and he responded with 163 rushing yards on 24 carries for a touchdown while also catching five of six targets for 35 yards and another score. As a result, the explosive 22-year-old is trending up heading into the postseason and is currently the third-most expensive RB on DraftKings, behind only the Rams' Kyren Williams and Bucs' Rachaad White. There's optimism that Mostert will return this weekend, though, giving Achane bust potential if Mostert, the leader in total TDs in 2023, is back in the fold.

Tyreek Hill Limited On Tuesday

The Miami Dolphins listed wide receiver Tyreek Hill (ankle, quadriceps) as limited on their estimated practice report for Tuesday. The Dolphins didn't actually hold a practice on Tuesday, and Hill should be just fine to play in Saturday's wild-card playoff game against his former squad, the Kansas City Chiefs. Despite the Chiefs being a stingy matchup against opposing receivers this year, Hill is the second highest-priced wideout on DraftKings this weekend, behind only the Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb. The Cheetah also finished second in half-PPR points in 2023 to Lamb while posting a league-high 1,799 receiving yards and tying for the most touchdowns with 13. Miami's high-scoring offense has looked average in two straight losses, but the expected return of fellow wideout Jaylen Waddle (ankle) should take some attention away from Hill. The 29-year-old had eight catches for 62 yards in the Week 9 meeting against KC.

Jaylen Waddle Gets Limited Tag In First Practice Of The Week

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (ankle) was listed as a limited participant on the team's estimated practice report on Tuesday. The Dolphins didn't officially hold a practice on Tuesday, but it's good news that Waddle was listed as limited after missing the final two games of the regular season. Miami is optimistic the 25-year-old will be ready to return for Saturday's wild-card playoff tilt against the Kansas City Chiefs. With a DraftKings price of $6,500 for wild-card weekend, Waddle could be a value play to consider, but that would also assume he'll be fully healthy after missing two straight games. The 25-year-old recorded his third straight 1,000-yard season in 2023 despite playing in only 14 games, although the Dolphins have one of the worst matchups for pass-catchers on the road against a strong Chiefs defense on Saturday.

Dolphins Optimistic About Jaylen Waddle Playing Against Chiefs

Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel reiterated on Monday that he's optimistic about the chances of wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (ankle) playing in Saturday's wild-card playoff game on the road in Kansas City against the Chiefs. Waddle missed the final two weeks of the regular season but is hoping to return this weekend for the first round of the postseason. The 25-year-old took a clear back seat to Tyreek Hill in 2023, but that didn't stop him from reaching the 1,000-yard mark for the third straight season to open his career in the second-highest scoring offense in football. Waddle also had 72 receptions on 104 targets for a career-low four touchdowns. He'll be a bit more risky coming off his injury against an underrated Chiefs defense if he's active, but his return would be welcomed news for a Dolphins offense that hasn't been the same without him in two consecutive losses.
