Tyreek Hill Remains An Elite Option Against Former Team

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has been a must-play option all season long and this game is no different, especially since he was removed from the injury report and is a full go. Even if Tua Tagovailoa doesn't register a great game, Hill usually finds a way to score and get close to 100 yards in the process. No matter if his targets are underneath or over top of the defense, he works in every way possible to secure more receptions. This game has added stakes not only due to the playoffs, but it's Hill's first time back in Kansas City ever since he was traded, and he's not one to shy away from the spotlight. Not everything is sunshine and rainbows though. This game is set to be one of the coldest games in NFL history and the Chiefs have one of the stingiest defenses against the passing game while L'Jarius Sneed will likely be covering Hill for most of the game. Hill's talent still makes him a top option in any given week.

De'Von Achane Could Be A Top Option Versus Chiefs

Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane may see more than his fair share of work on Saturday due to both the weather and Raheem Mostert's (ankle/knee) questionable health status. Achane also made an appearance on the injury report this week, but has been removed and will suit up without limitations. In a game that's close to breaking records for the coldest NFL game at kickoff, there's likely to be more emphasis on the ground game than airing it out and risking turnovers in freezing cold wind. When these two teams faced off in Germany earlier in the year, Achane didn't get the chance to play against the middle-of-the-pack run defense. While the Kansas City Chiefs may not have given up the most rushing touchdowns, they're one the worst in yards per carry allowed at 4.5, and Achane is one of the best at explosive run rates. That combined could mean a big day for Achane.

Tua Tagovailoa Not A Safe Bet Against Chiefs

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has had moments as a top fantasy quarterback this season, but also as one of the worst. All year long, he's been an all-or-nothing fantasy piece and since Week 14 he's posted QB2-type numbers. In their final two games, the offense scored a combined 33 points compared to allowing 77. To make matters even worse, the forecast calls for bitter cold that will make it one of NFL history's coldest games of all time. In the last 10 games, dating back to 2017, when the kickoff temperature was 40 degrees or colder, the Dolphins are 0-10. While Tagovailoa does have the potential to pop off given his threats at wide receiver, this cold-weather game doesn't seem to play in his favor.

Jaylen Waddle Set For Questionable Tag

Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said that wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (ankle) will be listed as questionable for Saturday's wild-card playoff game versus the Kansas City Chiefs. Waddle missed the final two regular season games, but the Dolphins have been optimistic that he'll return for the first round of the playoffs this weekend. The 25-year-old got in two limited practices on Tuesday and Wednesday, so he should be considered on the right side of questionable. Waddle has a decent DraftKings price considering he went for 1,000 yards receiving in the regular season, but he could be limited due to his high-ankle sprain if he plays, and the Chiefs defense has been very stingy on opposing pass-catchers this season.

Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle Stay Limited Wednesday

Miami Dolphins wide receivers Tyreek Hill (ankle, quadriceps) and Jaylen Waddle (ankle) were both limited in practice for the second straight day on Wednesday. Hill is dealing with a new quadriceps injury, but he's really in no danger of sitting out against his former team, the Kansas City Chiefs, in Saturday's wild-card playoff game. Waddle has missed the last two games, but he's expected to return as well, which is excellent news for a Dolphins offense that has slumped in two straight losses. Hill, who led the NFL in receiving yards and was tied among wideouts with 13 touchdowns, will be a popular DFS play as he returns to KC as the second-most expensive wideout on DraftKings. Waddle will only cost $6,500 in comparison to Hill's $8,700 price tag, but KC's defense has been a bad matchup for opposing wideouts all year long.
