Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (undisclosed) was seen in a non-contact practice jersey again on Wednesday afternoon. The Alabama product was seen wearing the same jersey earlier this week as he is being slowly eased back into game action. The 25-year-old has been dealing with a lingering undisclosed injury for most of August now, but it is promising to see the wideout on the field, albeit in a non-contact setting. Fantasy managers should continue to pay close attention to Waddle's status, as he could be a full participant in the coming days. Waddle signed a massive $84.75 extension earlier this offseason after posting his third-straight 1,000-yard campaign last season. Even though he battled numerous injuries last season, he remains a top option at the wide receiver position given his big-play ability with a strong 73.6 air yards per game and a 2.88 average yards per route run.

The Seattle Seahawks waived wide receiver Dee Eskridge and released PJ Walker, linebacker Blake Lynch, cornerback Artie Burns and safety Marquise Blair on Tuesday. Injuries limited Eskridge to 24 games (zero starts) in his three seasons with Seattle after they took him in the second round (56th overall) out of Western Michigan. In those 24 games with the Seahawks, he had just 17 receptions (34 targets) for 122 yards and one touchdown. If the 27-year-old pass-catcher clears waivers, he could rejoin the team on their practice squad. Walker will hit the open market, which isn't surprising after the team added Sam Howell as the backup to starter Geno Smith this offseason. The 29-year-old appeared in six games (two starts) with the Cleveland Browns in 2023 and completed a career-low 48.6% of his passes for 674 yards, one TD and five interceptions.

It's good news that Waddle is back on the practice field, but it appears the Dolphins are easing him back in. With just under two weeks to go until the Week 1 regular-season opener, Waddle should have plenty of time to get up to speed to face the Jacksonville Jaguars. We'll keep a close eye on the 25-year-old's status along the way, though. But as long as he's active in Week 1, he should be a must-start in all fantasy formats. Fantasy managers would have liked to have seen Waddle visit the end zone more than just four times (a career-low) in 14 regular-season games in 2023, but he also finished with more than 1,000 yards receiving for the third straight season to begin his career. He also had a robust 14.1 yards per catch. As long as his injury doesn't extend into the regular season, Waddle should be considered a strong WR2 in fantasy.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Dee Eskridge performed well in the Seahawks' preseason finale against the Cleveland Browns on Saturday. Eskridge finished with three receptions for 19 yards and returned a punt 79 yards for a touchdown. Eskridge is buried on the wide receiver depth chart. His best chance at a roster spot may be as a returner. The former second-round pick has battled injuries and poor play throughout his career. However, his speed and skills as a returner may be an asset to the team.

Cleveland Browns quarterback Tyler Huntley was productive in his team's preseason finale on Saturday. Huntley completed 17 of his 22 passes for 146 yards and three touchdowns while adding two carries for 14 yards in a 37-33 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. The veteran signal-caller played the entire second half of the game, tossing two touchdowns to Michael Woods II and a third to James Proche. Huntley has been battling with Dorian Thompson-Robinson for the No.3 QB job throughout camp. The Browns have reportedly been floating Thompson-Robinson's name in potential trades, a sign that they feel comfortable with what they have seen from Huntley in the preseason.
