Justin Herbert Expects To Be Fine

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert (leg) suffered a left-leg contusion in the Sunday night loss to the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs in Week 14, but Herbert said he doesn't expect the injury to affect him going forward. He took a hard hit to his left lower thigh late in the second quarter and eventually limped to the sideline. Herbert took a play off but then return to action and finished out the game without any issues. "Tough as they come, warrior," head coach Jim Harbaugh said of Herbert. The 26-year-old finished 21-for-30 passing with 213 yards and one touchdown. Herbert should be fine to play in Week 15 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but his upside as a low-end QB1 in fantasy will likely come down to whether rookie receiver Ladd McConkey (knee, shoulder) ends up missing his second straight game.

Cameron Dicker Makes Three Kicks In Week 14 Loss

Los Angeles Chargers kicker Cameron Dicker made all three of his kicks in a Week 14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Dicker made both of his extra point attempts and also nailed a field goal from 37 yards out in the fourth quarter. "Dicker the Kicker" continues to be one of the more consistent and reliable options in fantasy football's least consistent and reliable position. He'll get to kick against Tampa Bay in Week 15.

Stone Smartt Makes Three Catches In Week 14 Loss

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Stone Smartt was targeted three times in a Week 14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, making three catches for 54 yards. Smartt was forced into a larger role after starting tight end Will Dissly (shoulder) had to leave the game due to getting injured on the last play before halftime. Smartt has shown some upside in small bursts and could be a streaming option in 2TE leagues in Week 15 if Dissly is unable to return.

Will Dissly Forced To Leave At Halftime In Week 14

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Will Dissly (shoulder) was forced to leave the game in Week 14 after getting hurt on the last play before halftime. Dissly caught two passes on two targets, totaling 19 yards before being forced to leave. Tight end Stone Smartt came in to take Dissly's place after halftime and picked up 54 yards on three catches. Dissly will be questionable at best for Week 15 against Tampa Bay, but as long as he's healthy enough to suit up, he should remain a high-floor mid-ceiling fantasy tight end option.

Quentin Johnston Scores A Week 14 Touchdown

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston scored a touchdown, his seventh of the season, in a Week 14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Johnston was expected to have a bigger role with Ladd McConkey (knee/shoulder) inactive, but that leading role went to Joshua Palmer instead. Still, Johnston saw seven targets thrown his way, making five catches for 48 yards including a four-yard touchdown catch near the end of the third quarter. "QJ" went on a touchdown scoring streak earlier in the season but hadn't found the end zone since Week 11. It was a solid performance from the sophomore pass catcher, who will face Tampa Bay next week.
