Green Bay Packers tight end Luke Musgrave (kidney) has been activated from the injured reserve ahead of Week 18. This is great news for the Packers as they will get back their rookie tight end before their must-win game against the Chicago Bears. Musgrave has been sidelined since Week 11 due to a lacerated kidney. His return means that fellow tight end Tucker Kraft won't see as much involvement in the offense. Musgrave could be worth a look as a cheap DFS option given how banged up the Packers are on offense. The assumption is that Musgrave will be back to his every-down role.
Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft will face off against the Chicago Bears in Week 18. The rookie has been a streaming candidate over the past few weeks in replacement of starter Luke Musgrave (kidney). However, his role as the starter could come to an end as Musgrave was able to draw the questionable tag heading into the weekend. Thankfully for fantasy managers, Musgrave is still on Injured Reserve, meaning the Packers will have to activate him on Saturday if they wish to have him available on Sunday. If activated, Kraft's role will be unclear, making him tough to trust against Chicago. However, if Musgrave misses one more week, Kraft will remain a top-15 option and have fantasy value for the regular season finale.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Bo Melton will take on the Chicago Bears in Week 18. The 24-year-old signed to the active roster on Wednesday this past week and will be a part of the final wide receiver corps heading into the season finale. It is a well-deserved promotion after Melton went for 105 yards and a score last week against Minnesota. However, his role this Sunday could be minimal. Christian Watson (hamstring) is looking to make his return to the field after being out since Week 14, while rookies Jayden Reed (chest) and Dontayvion Wicks (chest) are also attempting to play after being tagged as questionable. If even two are active on Sunday, Melton's role will likely be nothing more than rotational against Chicago. Fantasy managers should avoid Melton unless all three receivers on the injury report are ruled out for Sunday's game.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs will face off against the Chicago Bears in Week 18. The second-year receiver has been in the starting rotation, with many of the receivers around him going down due to injury over the past several weeks, yet his production has remained inconsistent. This week, however, could see his role change in the offense. Christian Watson (hamstring) has his first chance to return since going down in Week 13, while Jayden Reed (chest) and Dontayvion Wicks (chest) are also questionable and will potentially play. Doubs' role as a starting receiver could be in jeopardy if all three are active. Reed and Wicks have been more productive at times over the back half of the season, while Watson's role as the top receiver is locked in. Doubs' fantasy value has been boom or bust as a clear starter, but he will be even more volatile now if Watson, Reed, and Wicks are active. Consider the 23-year-old a risky flex in Week 18.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love will face off against the Chicago Bears in Week 18. The 25-year-old put on a clinic against the Minnesota Vikings last week, throwing for 256 yards and tallying four touchdowns. It was the best fantasy performance of the season for Love, and now he will face off against a team that he has not seen since Week 1, where he threw for 245 yards and three touchdowns in his debut as the starter for Green Bay. Christian Watson (hamstring), Jayden Reed (chest), and Dontayvion Wicks (chest) are all listed as questionable for Sunday. Reed and Wick seem the most likely to play, while Watson seems more 50/50 after only two limited practice sessions. Love has had plenty of great fantasy outings with weapons missing, so whoever is active will just add to his chances of a top-five performance. Consider the first-year starter a QB1 in Week 18.
