Malik Willis Throws Two Touchdowns In Last Preseason Game

Tennessee Titans quarterback Malik Willis only threw four total passes in a preseason week 3 win over New Orleans, but two of them went for touchdowns. The third-year QB was 3-4 on the day for 51 yards including the game winning score to rookie receiver Bryce Oliver, threading the ball in a tight window for the five yard TD. Willis also added 29 yards on three rushing attempts, showcasing his elite speed on numerous occasions. Willis' future in Nashville has been a major question all offseason, with the Titans bringing in Mason Rudolph to back-up starting QB Will Levis. The Liberty product put on an extremely gutsy performance in the last preseason game with two fourth quarter touchdowns, but it's still tough to see Tennessee keeping three quarterbacks on the active roster for the 2024 season ahead. Willis remains a prime cut candidate, and could see being scooped up by another team if the Titans decide to go that route. Either way, he is non-viable for fantasy barring multiple injuries.

Malik Heath Scores, Fills Box Score In Packers' Win

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Malik Heath led the Packers in all receiving categories during their final preseason tune-up against the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday afternoon. Heath, the second-year receiver out of Ole Miss, led the Packers with five targets and a four-catch, 39-yard effort, including a third-quarter touchdown from Sean Clifford. The Packers sat Jayden Reed, Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and Dontayvion Wicks, leaving the starting wide receivers to be Heath and Bo Melton, of whom Heath is battling to be the team's WR5 this season. The Packers have an embarrassment of riches at the receiver spot, so the team may opt to keep six on the 53-man roster, but the race is too close to call if the Packers only keep one. Heath was a sporadic contributor last season but was not fantasy-relevant. He shouldn't be drafted, but if any of the receivers ahead of him are hurt, Heath could contribute if he makes the roster.

Bo Melton Scores In Packers' Final Preseason Game

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Bo Melton scored a touchdown on a beautiful throw from rookie Michael Pratt on Saturday afternoon in the Packers' final preseason matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. With the Packers sitting Jayden Reed, Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and Dontayvion Wicks, Melton got some extra time to shine on Saturday and delivered with that second-quarter score. Melton only earned two targets and caught one, but made it count. While the first four receivers are set in stone for the Packers, the fifth wide receiver slot is up for grabs between Melton and second-year pro Malik Heath, who also caught a touchdown on the day. The Packers may opt to keep both Melton and Heath on the 53-man roster, but if not, it's likely a decision between the two. For fantasy purposes, there's no need to draft Melton but keep an eye on him if any of the other receivers get hurt as Melton was productive toward the end of 2023 for the Packers.

Sean Clifford Struggles Again In Final Preseason Game

Green Bay Packers quarterback Sean Clifford struggled yet again in the Packers' third and final preseason contest against the Baltimore Ravens. Clifford was 6-of-14 for 53 yards with a touchdown pass to Malik Heath in the third quarter. The second-year pro from Penn State Clifford and rookie Michael Pratt alternated every two drives in their heated QB2 battle behind Jordan Love. Pratt has outplayed Clifford in the last two preseason contests but the race is too close to call with Clifford having the leg up with one more season of experience. The winner of this battle will be Love's direct backup when the Packers travel to Brazil to open their regular season on Friday, September 6 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Tucker Kraft To Have Big Role In 2024

Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft is expected to have a big role within the offense this season, according to an observation from Zach Kruse of Packers Wire. Ever since returning from offseason surgery, Kraft has wasted no time making an impact in training camp. Green Bay has utilized him in the passing game in a variety of ways, and it sounds like he's formed a strong rapport with Jordan Love already. While Kraft is technically listed second on the depth chart behind Luke Musgrave, the latest buzz about Kraft indicates that the two could really split duties at the tight end position. Kraft played at least 90 percent of offensive snaps in six of the Packers' last seven games in 2023, and he didn't miss a single snap in Week 14. Make no mistake: Kraft is going to get involved. He's worthy of consideration for a bench spot in deeper redraft leagues.
