Green Bay Packers wide receivers Christian Watson (hamstring) and Jayden Reed (chest) were both limited in practice on Thursday for the second straight day this week. Watson could be on track to end his four-game absence from a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 13, although a full practice on Friday would really boost his chances even further. Reed, meanwhile, injured his chest in Sunday night's win over the Minnesota Vikings after sitting out of Week 16. Quarterback Jordan Love could have his full complement of weapons at receiver if Watson, Reed and rookie Dontayvion Wicks (chest) are all able to play in a must-win game against the Chicago Bears on Sunday. Watson will be a pretty volatile boom/bust fantasy option if he plays this weekend. Reed, meanwhile will be the most expensive DFS wideout for the Packers after scoring seven times in his last seven games.
Green Bay Packers running back AJ Dillon (neck, thumb) is missing a second straight day of practice this week on Thursday. A fractured right thumb kept Dillon sidelined in Week 15, and in two games since his return, he's carried the ball only 14 times for just 39 yards and one touchdown. The bruising RB suffered a neck stinger in the Week 17 win over the Minnesota Vikings and is now questionable to play in a must-win Week 18 contest versus the division-rival Chicago Bears. The 25-year-old will need to practice on Friday to have a chance at playing. Even if Dillon does suit up this weekend in a big game, he'll play second fiddle to Aaron Jones and will be a low-upside, unattractive sleeper play in DFS formats in a tough matchup. If Dillon cannot play, Patrick Taylor would serve as Jones' backup.
Green Bay Packers rookie tight end Luke Musgrave (kidney), who remains on Injured Reserve, was listed as limited in the team's walkthrough practice on Wednesday. Musgrave was also limited in practices last week before picking up a doubtful tag before the Week 17 win over the Minnesota Vikings. The 23-year-old is recovering from a lacerated kidney that he suffered in Week 11, so he's likely going to need to put in a full practice later this week to be cleared to play in a must-win game this Sunday in Week 18 against the division-rival Chicago Bears. Even if the 23-year-old is able to play this weekend, he'll be a risky choice for fantasy lineups while likely being eased in. Fellow rookie Tucker Kraft has stepped up in Musgrave's absence and has a decent 18 catches (22 targets) for 229 yards and one touchdown in the last four weeks.
Green Bay Packers wide receivers Christian Watson (hamstring), Jayden Reed (chest) and Dontayvion Wicks (chest) were all listed as limited in the team's walkthrough practice estimation on Wednesday. It's the first time that Watson has been listed as limited in a practice since he injured his hamstring all the way back in Week 13. It doesn't necessarily mean the 24-year-old will return for a must-win Week 18 game against the Chicago Bears, but he's making good progress. Even if Watson does get the green light this Sunday, he'll be a volatile fantasy option in DFS lineups in a tough matchup, especially if both Reed and Wicks are also active. With Watson and Wicks out in last week's win over the Minnesota Vikings, Reed went off for six catches, 89 yards and two touchdowns. Reed has been a touchdown machine in the second half of his rookie campaign with seven total scores in his last seven games.
Green Bay Packers running back AJ Dillon (neck, thumb) was listed as a non-participant at the team's walkthrough session on Wednesday. Dillon suffered a broken right thumb in Week 14 and sat out in Week 15 before returning in Week 16. He suffered a stinger in the Sunday night win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 17. The Packers are playing in a must-win Week 18 regular season finale against the Chicago Bears this weekend, so if the 25-year-old can return to practice in the next two days, he'll be in the Packers' backfield sharing touches with Aaron Jones. When Jones has been healthy, Dillon has been a lackluster RB3/flex in deep fantasy leagues, which will make him a pretty low-upside DFS play if he's active this Sunday. If he cannot play, Patrick Taylor would serve as Jones' backup.
