Kalif Raymond Still Not Practicing

Detroit Lions wide receiver Kalif Raymond (knee) remained sidelined at the team's practice on Wednesday. Raymond injured his knee in the Week 18 regular season finale and has missed each of the team's two playoff games. The fact that the 29-year-old isn't practicing to begin the week is a bad sign that he'll be able to return for the NFC Championship this Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers. Even if Raymond is able to return to practice later this week and suit up this weekend, fantasy managers setting DFS lineups should probably look to avoid him. During the regular season, Raymond only had 35 catches for 489 yards and one touchdown on 44 targets. With Josh Reynolds (ribs) also on the injury report this week, it's possible second-year wideout Jameson Williams could be more involved as the Lions look to advance to the Super Bowl for the first time in their history.

Sam LaPorta Sits Out Wednesday

Detroit Lions rookie tight end Sam LaPorta (knee) was listed as a non-participant at practice on Wednesday. LaPorta suffered a hyperextended knee and a bone bruise in his left knee in Week 18 against the Minnesota Vikings, but the 23-year-old has been able to play in both of Detroit's playoff games and has caught 12 of his 14 targets for 79 yards and a touchdown. He scored in the wild-card win over the Los Angeles Rams, but he was much more involved in the Divisional Round, catching nine of 11 targets for 65 yards in the victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. LaPorta, who was the top fantasy tight end during the regular season, should return to practice later this week and play in Sunday's NFC Championship contest versus the San Francisco 49ers. In the last five weeks of the regular season, San Fran's vaunted defense allowed the third-most half-PPR points to opposing tight ends.

Brock Wright Has Broken Forearm

Detroit Lions tight end Brock Wright (forearm) apparently suffered a broken forearm in Sunday's Divisional Round win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It's a tough break for Wright, as he had just come back to play against the Los Angeles Rams in the first round of the playoffs after suffering a hip injury in the Week 15 win over the Denver Broncos. Wright is now unlikely to play in the rest of the postseason. As a result, the Lions have signed veteran Zach Ertz for extra tight end depth behind rookie Sam LaPorta for the NFC Championship this Sunday night. Detroit also has Anthony Firkser as a backup option behind LaPorta. The 25-year-old Wright caught his only target for a big 29-yard gain in Sunday's win over the Bucs, and he finished the regular season with just 13 catches for 91 yards and one touchdown in his third NFL campaign.

Sam LaPorta Hauls In Nine Passes In Victory Over Buccaneers

Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta caught nine of his 11 targets for 65 yards in the win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Divisional Round game. LaPorta entered Sunday's contest with a "questionable" tag due to a knee injury he suffered in Week 18, but he ultimately suited up and was clearly good to go. Barring any setbacks with his knee, the rookie from Iowa will remain on the fantasy radar against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game. The 49ers allowed the 11th-fewest fantasy points per game to tight ends during the regular season, but he's proven to be virtually matchup-proof.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Snags Touchdown To Put Away Tampa Bay

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown caught eight of his 14 targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in the 31-23 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Divisional Round. The third-year pro could have had a much bigger day if he and Jared Goff could connect on a few more of his targets, but either way, he came through with a touchdown with just under seven minutes in the fourth quarter to help seal the victory. Next week, he should be in for another high-volume day in a neutral matchup against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game.
