Memphis Grizzlies guard/forward Vince Williams Jr. (shin) has been ruled out for the start of the season. According to Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins, Williams Jr. is "a couple of weeks away" from being ready to play. The 24-year-old is recovering from a shin stress reaction. Once he's healthy again, Williams Jr. will be leading the second unit. He did most of his damage as a starter last year, so Williams Jr.'s fantasy stock will be lower in 2024-25 unless Memphis starts losing its key guys to injuries again. Jake LaRavia and John Konchar should handle Williams Jr.'s minutes until he's ready to return. Neither player is a good fantasy option.
Memphis Grizzlies guard Vince Williams Jr. (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's regular-season finale with the Nuggets. Williams Jr. will miss his 17th consecutive game with tendonitis in his left patellar tendon. Scotty Pippen Jr. and Jordan Goodwin could be solid DFS options and will see many extra minutes with most of the Grizzlies roster sitting out Sunday.
Memphis Grizzlies guard Vince Williams Jr. (knee) has been ruled out again on Friday and will remain on the sidelines with tendonitis in his left patellar tendon. This will be his 13th consecutive game missed after becoming a surprising rotational mainstay this season. Williams is likely part of the team's future, so they're not going to risk him injuring his knee any further. In the meantime, Scotty Pippen Jr., Jordan Goodwin, and Lamar Stevens have all been solid streaming options. Each one of them can garner some DFS interest as well given the better matchup.
Memphis Grizzlies guard/forward Vince Williams Jr. (knee) will be absent for an 11th consecutive game on Monday against the Pistons. He's continuing to nurse a left knee injury. The 23-year-old out of VCU will get his next opportunity to return on Wednesday versus Milwaukee. Memphis also won't have Desmond Bane (back) on Monday, and John Konchar (foot) will likely miss another game, meaning we should see a lot of Scotty Pippen Jr., Jordan Goodwin, GG Jackson II, and Jake LaRavia again. The young Grizzlies have played well in recent weeks, although they tend to be inconsistent.
Memphis Grizzlies guard/forward Vince Williams Jr. (knee) will remain sidelined for a 10th consecutive game on Saturday versus Orlando. The 23-year-old is still dealing with a left knee issue and will have the next opportunity to return on Monday against Detroit. GG Jackson II and Jake LaRavia should continue to feature heavily for the Grizzlies without Williams Jr, although Saturday's matchup is an uncomfortable one for Memphis against a slow-paced team that has a very good defense.
