Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro (foot) will return to action on Friday against Houston. After missing 20 games with a foot problem, Herro received a questionable tag entering Friday, and Miami has now upgraded him to available. Herro could be limited following his long absence, but he's among the Heat's main offensive weapons and should still feature prominently in the game. Herro's return means fewer shots for Terry Rozier and Duncan Robinson. The latter will likely have to give up a few minutes of playing time as well.

However, Miami's snipers could find it tough on Thursday against a Philadelphia team that gives up the eighth-fewest three-point attempts in the league.

The Heat are still in contention for the sixth seed as they hover just half of a game back from the Indiana Pacers and one and a half games ahead of the Philadelphia 76ers. Herro was seen taking shots at practice last week and his return doesn't seem too far away. Duncan Robinson and Nikola Jovic will remain in the starting lineup while Herro is sidelined.

Herro has been through two different spells of injuries this season where he's missed over 10 games, and he's only appeared in 36 out of a possible 72 so far. Since Jimmy Butler (illness) is expected to play, Jaime Jaquez Jr. will likely remain in the starting lineup while Nikola Jovic and Patty Mills see some extra minutes in Herro's absence.
