New Orleans Pelicans guard/forward Trey Murphy III (knee) has been tagged as questionable for the contest against the Memphis Grizzlies. He's working through a knee contusion right now which caused him to miss their last game on Wednesday. Murphy along with three other Pelicans including Brandon Ingram (calf) and Jordan Hawkins (back) are all questionable, so the lineup could turn out to be very thin. If any of the three are ruled out, Javonte Green and Brandon Boston Jr. could serve as streaming options.
New Orleans Pelicans forwardTrey Murphy III (hamstring) will not play Wednesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Murphy is likely sidelined due to the Cavs playing the second leg of back-to-back games. Versus Dallas on Tuesday, the 24-year-old collected 19 points, five rebounds, and two steals in 29 minutes on the floor. WithBrandon Ingram(ankles) also unavailable, Javonte Green,Brandon Boston, and Jeremiah Robinson-Earlwill likely relied upon more than usual.
New Orleans Pelicans forward Trey Murphy III (hamstring) won't play in Saturday's matchup versus the Los Angeles Lakers. The 24-year-old recently returned to the lineup after missing the start of the 2024-25 campaign because of a hamstring injury. He's played relatively well in his three appearances, averaging 14.3 points. But with Murphy logging 30 minutes in Friday's win over the Denver Nuggets, he'll get the night off to rest before likely getting back on the floor for Tuesday's game in Dallas. With that in mind, the Pelicans are thin across the board due to various injuries, meaning Brandon Ingram, Brandon Boston Jr., and Javonte Green could finish as New Orleans top performers.
New Orleans Pelicans guard/forward Trey Murphy III (hamstring) has officially been upgraded to available, according to the team's X account. He'll make his season debut against the Brooklyn Nets after dealing with a hamstring issue that stemmed from the preseason. There hasn't been any word about a minute restriction, but it's likely that he won't be a 100% full-go right away. The Pelicans are dealing with a slew of injuries right now, so Murphy can start right away, but Jose Alvarado will continue to get big minutes, while Brandon Boston Jr. might take the biggest hit fantasy-wise.
New Orleans Pelicans guard/forward Trey Murphy III (hamstring) is expected to make his 2024-25 debut on Monday against Brooklyn. The 24-year-old, who recently signed a four-year, $112 million extension, averaged 14.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 38.0% shooting from behind the arc last season. Unfortunately, he hasn't played yet this season because of a hamstring injury. Without question, this is certainly excellent news for the Pelicans, considering the team is without Dejounte Murray (hand), Zion Williamson (hamstring), and CJ McCollum (adductor). While Murphy could see limited time on the floor for a few games, it shouldn't take him long to enter the starting lineup, where he should remain until Murray, Williamson, and McCollum return.
