Memphis Grizzlies guard Luke Kennard (illness) is currently listed as questionable ahead of Thursday's game against the Sacramento Kings. Kennard is a late addition to the injury report due to an illness. His absence probably won't have a huge impact on the rotation given Kennard is only averaging 19 minutes per game. If he sits, Marcus Smart, Jake LaRavia, and John Konchar will probably all see additional run. None of them are likely going to gain significant playing time from Kennard's possible absence. Out of everyone, Smart probably has the most fantasy upside out of them all, assuming Kennard is out.
Memphis Grizzlies guard Luke Kennard (foot) is listed as questionable for Wednesday night's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Kennard has yet to make his 2024-2025 season debut due to a muscle strain in his foot he sustained during preseason action. The questionable tag marks progress for the 28-year-old, though, as it's the first time he's carried the questionable tag this season. Kennard was a full participant in Tuesday's practice as well, pointing to a positive sign that he may be able to give it a go on Wednesday. Kennard averaged 11.0 PPG while shooting 45% from three in his first full season with the Grizzlies and was brought back on a one-year $9.25 million contract this offseason. The sooner he can get on the court for the 4-4 Grizzlies, the better. Fantasy managers should temper their expectations if he's active for Wednesday night given it will be his first regular season game action in 2024. If he's ruled out, expect Scotty Pippen Jr. to continue to be the main threat off the bench for Memphis.
Memphis Grizzlies shooting guard Luke Kennard (foot) has been ruled out for at least the first week of the 2024-25 regular season by head coach Taylor Jenkins. Kennard is battling foot soreness sustained during preseason action last week. Memphis has three games scheduled for the first week, starting with a matchup against Utah on Wednesday. John Konchar could see more time on the court in Kennard's absence, although the Grizzlies have their regular backcourt healthy for the start of the season, leaving the bench guys with few opportunities to make an impact.
Memphis Grizzlies guard Luke Kennard (knee) is out for Sunday's season finale against the Denver Nuggets. This will be his sixth straight game on the sidelines because of a left knee injury. The Grizzlies have been ravaged by injuries all season long, and they will continue to rely on a group of young players for their final game of the season. Fantasy managers can expect GG Jackson II, Jake LaRavia, and Scotty Pippen Jr. to lead the backcourt.
Memphis Grizzlies guard Luke Kennard (knee) is listed as out for Friday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. This will be his fifth straight game on the sidelines because of a left knee injury. With the season almost over, it would not be surprising if Kennard has already played his last game of the year. The Grizzlies have been ravaged by injuries all season long, and they will continue to rely on a group of young players. Fantasy managers can expect GG Jackson II, Jake LaRavia, and Scotty Pippen Jr. to lead the backcourt.
