New Orleans Pelicans forward Javonte Green (ankle) is questionable for Thursday's game against Sacramento. A sore left ankle may keep Green off the court for a second consecutive game. Green has been a big beneficiary of New Orleans' injury troubles this season, starting in 12 contests. However, the Pelicans have started to get everybody back, making Green an afterthought. He's only had 5.0 points and 2.8 rebounds as a reserve. Jeremiah Robinson-Earl might receive additional work without Green, although the Pelicans frontcourt will also have Daniel Theis back in the lineup after he sat out three games due to neck spasms.
New Orleans Pelicans forward Javonte Green (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest against San Antonio. He was already iffy for the game due to ankle soreness and will sit out his first action of the campaign. Green recently had a good spell as a starter on the New Orleans team, but he's been limited to a bench role in the last couple of games. Herbert Jones is fresh back from injury and should soak in Green's minutes, along with Trey Murphy III and Brandon Boston Jr. All three players also benefit from Brandon Ingram's (ankle) absence.
Guard/forward Javonte Green is set to sign a one-year contract with the New Orleans Pelicans, sources have told NBA insider Shams Charania. After starting out in the G League, Green had an impressive nine-game spell with the Chicago Bulls at the end of last season, averaging 12.2 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.1 steals. However, a repeat of it in New Orleans appears unlikely, as Green will be limited to a bench role. The 31-year-old has posted 5.4 points and 3.1 rebounds in 16.3 minutes across 195 career games in the National Basketball Association.
Chicago Bulls forward Javonte Green is questionable for Sunday's game versus the Knicks. There's nothing wrong with him. Instead, head coach Billy Donovan might give him the afternoon off to rest in preparation for Chicago's upcoming Play-In contest. As of this writing, Coby White, Nikola Vucevic, and DeMar DeRozan aren't listed on the injury report after missing Friday's win over Orlando to rest. Yet, they certainly may get held out, meaning the door would be open for Dalen Terry, Jevon Carter, and Adama Sanogo to see a surge in DFS interest for the regular-season finale.
