Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green (knee) has been listed as probable for their Friday night contest against the Memphis Grizzlies. The knee contusion seems to be more of a formality injury listing because it doesn't seem severe enough to make him miss a game. Green has been playing some heavy minutes lately and will likely be called upon again on Friday as Dario Saric (illness) has been ruled out. Despite a low point total, Green has been contributing in many ways since he returned from suspension. Over his last five games, he's put up averages of 8.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 1.8 steals, 1.0 blocks, 1.0 made threes, and 2.2 turnovers per game.
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green (suspension) was reinstated by the league on Saturday. The veteran sat out 12 games, during which he underwent counseling and routine "progress meetings" with the team and league representatives. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported it will take him "approximately a week to ramp up," so fantasy managers may not see him back in the lineup until next Saturday's meeting with the Milwaukee Bucks. Without question, the 33-year-old has been a valuable fantasy option throughout his career. He's averaged 9.7 points, 5.8 assists, and 5.5 rebounds during the 2023-24 campaign. However, with Chris Paul (hand) out of commission for the forseeable future, Green should benefit in all statistical areas.
Golden State Warriors forward/center Draymond Green, who has been on an indefinite league suspension since Dec. 13, is expected to return to the team's facility in the coming days to start ramping up to resume play again. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski last reported on Dec. 26 that Green's ban could cover a range of 11 and 13 games. The 33-year-old four-time All-Star could return at some point during Golden State's current seven-game homestand, which will last until Jan. 10, and his ability to stuff the stat sheet on any given night despite a high turnover rate means he should probably not be floating around fantasy waiver wires. Green's absence has allowed Trayce Jackson-Davis to enter head coach Steve Kerr's rotation and Jonathan Kuminga to be a solid points-league streamer, but it's worth noting that Chris Paul is averaging 29.7 minutes without Green as opposed to 24.5 with him.
