Trae Young Tagged As Questionable On Friday

Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young (concussion protocol) has received the questionable tag for the Friday night game against the Dallas Mavericks. He still hasn't fully cleared concussion protocol just yet, so fantasy managers will have to wait and see if he can get through it before tipoff on Friday. In the two games that he's missed so far, the Hawks have suffered a 15-point and 22-point loss during a mini west coast swing. Missing their star guard who's averaging 26.9 points and 10.8 assists per game is always hard to overcome. If he misses his third consecutive game, Dejounte Murray will receive a bump in usage again while Bogdan Bogdanovic should remain in the starting lineup.

Clint Capela Could Be Sidelined Against Mavericks

Atlanta Hawks center Clint Capela (calf) has been tagged as questionable on Friday as he's dealing with a left calf contusion. The veteran big man has been on and off the injury report but ultimately has only missed two games so far this season. As long as he's healthy, his value in points, boards, blocks, and efficiency is very high, especially for a later-round draft pick in many fantasy drafts. Capela is averaging 11.2 points, 10.4 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 1.6 blocks per game while shooting 56.7% from the floor on 8.2 shots a night. Fantasy managers relying on that production will want to check back when tipoff approaches to see if he's upgraded to active for this contest.

Trae Young Out With Concussion

Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young (concussion) has been ruled out for the team's Wednesday game against the Golden State Warriors. The star point guard suffered a concussion against the Cavaliers on January 20th and missed the last game while in the concussion protocol. Remaining in protocol on Wednesday, Dejounte Murray and Bogdan Bogdanovic are expected to be the starting backcourt in Young's absence. Both players are likely to experience a significant increase in usage with Young out, providing ample opportunities for production. Young has been averaging 26.8 points and 10.8 assists in 36 minutes per game this season.

Trae Young Ruled Out For Wednesday

Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young (concussion) has been ruled out ahead of Wednesday's game against the Golden State Warriors. Young is set to miss his second game in a row as he remains in the league's concussion protocol. Dejounte Murray figures to remain in the starting five, with Bogdan Bogdanovic starting alongside him. Both players are going to have increased usage and fantasy value while Young is sidelined. It wouldn't be shocking to see Young miss more time, so fantasy managers should adjust their lineups accordingly.

Trae Young Sidelined Indefinitely

Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young (head) was diagnosed with a concussion and is sidelined indefinitely. The 25-year-old didn't suit up for Friday's one-point win over the Miami Heat because of an illness. However, he returned for Saturday's meeting with the Cleveland Cavaliers, although he exited midway through the fourth quarter after accidentally getting hit in the face by Isaac Okoro. The 2018 No. 5 overall pick is averaging 26.9 points, 10.8 assists, and 1.4 steals this season, so he'll be tough to replace. But until Young is back in the equation, Dejounte Murray, assuming he remains on the roster, should handle most of the ball-handling duties. At the same time, Jalen Johnson and Bogdan Bogdanovic could benefit in all statistical categories, especially on the scoring end.
