Atlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson (ankle) hasn't joined the team for Friday's visit to Memphis. Atlanta's breakout star hurt his right ankle in Wednesday's battle with the Cavaliers. Johnson comes out of the lineup for the first time since Dec. 23. His absence will likely give De'Andre Hunter back his starting job, while Garrison Mathews and Vit Krejci will have a chance to put in extra work off the bench. However, this is not a very good matchup for Atlanta, as the Grizzlies play with a significantly slower pace and boast a top-10 defensive rating despite their poor record.

Atlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson was forced to exit Wednesday's win over Cleveland early due to a right ankle injury. He was hurt in the third quarter, leaving the contest after putting up seven points, four rebounds, four assists, and one block in 19 minutes. Saddiq Bey reached the 40-minute mark for only the fifth time this season with Johnson out, while Garrison Mathews and Bruno Fernando saw extra action off the bench. There were no updates on Johnson postgame. He'll need to shake off the injury by Friday to avoid missing games. De'Andre Hunter will likely step into a starting role if Johnson isn't available versus the Grizzlies on Friday.

Atlanta Hawks forward De'Andre Hunter (knee) will play Wednesday against Cleveland. This marks the first time Hunter will be available for both games of a back-to-back since he returned from a right knee injury. The 26-year-old was among the team's leading scorers with 22 points in 25 minutes off the bench in Tuesday's win over the Knicks. Hunter has performed well despite being stuck in a bench role since his return, and fantasy managers should get plenty of value out of him again on Wednesday against a team that gives up 35.7 points per game to second units.

Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young (finger) will miss at least four weeks. The 25-year-old had been listed as questionable heading into Sunday's meeting with Orlando. However, he was downgraded to out just a few hours later, so many had assumed things weren't looking good. Unfortunately, it was revealed on Sunday that he suffered a ligament tear in his left pinkie and will now undergo surgery on Tuesday. It's not good news for fantasy managers, especially since Young has missed only a handful of games this season. But now that he's out of the equation, Dejounte Murray will presumably take over most of the duties at the one spot while also seeing a bump in usage. There's also room for De'Andre Hunter, who's averaged 20 points in two games without Young active this season, to get more involved on the scoring end. Also, fantasy managers are already anticipating an uptick in production from guys like Bogdan Bogdanovic and Jalen Johnson moving ahead.

Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young (finger) won't play on Sunday versus the Orlando Magic. The exact nature of the injury remains a mystery. However, the multi-time All-Star was questionable earlier in the day on Saturday, so it's apparent the issue is more severe than initially believed. Nonetheless, fantasy managers will hope for the best. But until Young returns to the lineup, Dejounte Murray is the favorite to lead the way for the Hawks offensively. Additionally, Jalen Johnson, Saddiq Bey, and Bogdan Bogdanovic should also benefit from a production standpoint.
