Gabe Davis Considered Day-To-Day

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott considers wide receiver Gabe Davis (knee) to be day-to-day heading into this Sunday's Divisional Round contest against the Kansas City Chiefs. Davis suffered a PCL sprain in the Week 18 win over the Miami Dolphins and was forced to sit out of the wild-card victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday. The 24-year-old's practice status will be worth watching closely this week. He was a boom/bust fantasy option in 2023 lineups with 45 total catches for 746 yards and seven touchdowns on 81 targets. With Davis out against Pittsburgh, Khalil Shakir was the biggest beneficiary as the No. 2 wideout with three catches for 31 yards and a touchdown. If Davis returns this weekend, he'll be a risky DFS play with a scary low floor against a solid Chiefs defense.

Bills Rule Out Gabe Davis For Wild-Card Game

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott has ruled out wide receiver Gabe Davis (knee) and safety Taylor Rapp (calf) for Sunday's wild-card playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Davis suffered a knee injury in the Week 18 win over the Miami Dolphins and is now being forced to sit out of the first playoff game in Buffalo. It remains to be seen if the 24-year-old would be available next week if the Bills advance to the Divisional Round. In Davis' absence, it will mean more work for Stefon Diggs and Khalil Shakir, while Trent Sherfield should also see an increase in role as Buffalo's No. 3. Tight ends Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox (illness) could see more targets in the passing game, too, albeit in a game that is expected to have inclement weather conditions.

Gabe Davis Picks Up Another DNP

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis (knee) was listed as a non-participant for the second straight day at practice on Thursday. Fellow wideout Stefon Diggs said on Thursday that the team is trying to "win for (Gabe Davis) so he has something to play for when he can come back," which seems to insinuate that Davis won't be ready to play in Sunday's wild-card playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 24-year-old suffered a PCL sprain in the Week 18 win over the Miami Dolphins and is certainly trending in the wrong direction for wild-card weekend. Fantasy managers in DFS contests will want to avoid him for now, while Khalil Shakir would become much more attractive as a low-cost sleeper if Davis is unable to gain clearance to play.

Ravens Designate Devin Duvernay To Return From Injured Reserve

The Baltimore Ravens designated wide receiver Devin Duvernay (back) to return from Injured Reserve on Wednesday. It means that Duvernay will be returning to practice this week for the Ravens and will also have next week to practice before the Ravens ultimately decide if they'll officially activate him from Injured Reserve so that he can be available for receiving depth in next weekend's Divisional Round of the playoffs. The 26-year-old hasn't played since Week 14 and wasn't a big part of the offense in 2023 to begin with, so expect the Ravens to ease him back onto the field if he's active for Baltimore's first playoff game. Duvernay had just four receptions for 18 yards and no touchdowns on nine targets on offense, but he did serve as the team's primary returner on special teams when healthy.

Gabe Davis Won't Practice Wednesday

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott said that wide receiver Gabe Davis (knee) won't take part in the team's light walkthrough practice on Wednesday. Davis suffered a PCL sprain in the Week 18 regular season finale win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday night and is now in question to play in Sunday's wild-card playoff contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, the 24-year-old's injury isn't considered major, so he could be active this weekend if he's able to practice on Thursday and Friday. If he plays, Davis will be a low-cost, boom-or-bust DFS play against Pittsburgh. He had three 100-yard games and seven touchdowns in 17 games for the Bills in 2023, but he also disappeared plenty of times, going under 50 yards in 10 contests, including five games with zero catches.
