Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee (knee) is considered "ahead of schedule" in his recovery process, according to Cameron DaSilva of USA Today. The 31-year-old tight end suffered a torn ACL in their playoff loss to the Detroit Lions last season, but head coach Sean McVay remains optimistic about his potential return this season. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor Higbee's status, as he could have a chance to return later this season. For the time being, Colby Parkinson should continue to see the majority of snaps at the tight end position. Through five games this season, Parkinson has averaged 7.1 PPR points per game.

In the meantime, Colby Parkinson figures to be LA's top pass-catching tight end ahead of Davis Allen and Hunter Long. Parkinson is only worth a flier as a TE3 in two-TE leagues, while Higbee can be left to the waiver wire in standard-sized fantasy leagues to begin the year.

Behind Parkinson, the Rams also have interesting second-year player Davis Allen and Hunter Long. Higbee has provided fantasy players with solid value over the years. He finished 2023 with 47 receptions for 495 yards and two touchdowns. Whoever begins the year as the starter should have a solid game here and there. For now, Higbee should be off your draft radar.
