Free-agent wide receiver Marquez Callaway is reportedly expected to sign a deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This seems like an odd move given the Bucs do have a crowded receiver room. Callaway last played with the New Orleans Saints during the 2023 season. His best season came in 2021 when he hauled in 46 receptions for 698 yards and six touchdowns. Since then, Callaway hasn't done much on the field and figures to be depth on the practice squad. It would take a few injuries at wide receiver for Callaway to start making an impact in Tampa Bay.

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Marquez Callaway has been released by the organization on Sunday. That didn't last long for Callaway as he was added to the roster in the beginning of the month. He has now been cut in order to make room for wide receiver Shaquan Davis on the 90-man roster. Callaway did play in the preseason opener, but he didn't do any noteworthy in the win. Possibly, Callaway is able to catch on with another organization before the season begins.

Most notably, Callaway hauled in 46 receptions for 698 yards and six touchdowns during the 2021 season. Since then, Callaway has been quiet with only 16 total receptions over the last two seasons. He should slot into the back end of the wide receiver depth chart which means Callaway is unlikely to have any kind of fantasy value.
