Kansas City Chiefs running back Jerick McKinnon (groin) is officially active for Sunday's Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers. In the end, the talented, pass-catching veteran is active for the first time since December 17th, when he totaled 11 rushing yards, 19 receiving yards, and one touchdown against New England. He remains behind Isiah Pacheco and Clyde Edwards-Helaire on the depth chart but should earn some snaps, particularly on passing downs.

The 31-year-old pass-catching specialist hasn't played since Week 15, so even if he was surprisingly activated from IR and active on Sunday, he'd almost certainly be playing a small role in KC's backfield as the No. 3 behind Isiah Pacheco and Clyde Edwards-Helaire.
