Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton brought in a team-high five receptions for 75 yards on nine targets during their loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday afternoon. Sutton's nine targets were also the most on the team. The veteran wideout was Bo Nix's go-to option all afternoon. His longest reception went for 21 yards. Despite their tough loss, Sutton enjoyed a productive afternoon. The 29-year-old enjoyed a nice bounce-back season as he tallied over 1,000 yards for just the second time in his career and the first time since 2019. Across 17 games, Sutton tallied 1,081 yards with eight touchdowns. Sutton was very productive over the final six games of the regular season, averaging an impressive 17.8 PPR points per game over this stretch.

Buffalo's defense was a middle-of-the-pack matchup for opposing wideouts over the course of the season, but over the last five weeks, they allowed the most half-PPR points per game to receivers, including over 1,000 yards and eight touchdowns. Sutton was the WR14 in half-PPR scoring during the regular season and ranked 13th among all pass-catchers with 135 targets. He's rookie quarterback Bo Nix's go-to target, and he should have a very safe floor this weekend in a game in which the Broncos are nearly 10-point underdogs. In addition to a safe target floor, Sutton has scored three times in the last four games.

Sutton finished the day with five receptions for a team-high 98 yards and a touchdown on a team-high seven targets. Half of the 29-year-old's yardage on the day came on his first catch, a 47-yarder in the first quarter. After a slow start with rookie quarterback Bo Nix, Sutton has come on strong in the second half and will finish with eight total touchdowns after scoring 10 in 2023. He's been Nix's go-to receiver all year long, and that should change in the wild-card round on the road in Buffalo against the Bills. Sutton will be a WR1 in DFS contests and playoff leagues.
