Washington Commanders running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. has been signed to the active roster ahead of the Week 10 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Rodriguez is back on the active roster with Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) being ruled out for this weekend. The expectation is that Austin Ekeler and Rodriguez will split up the backfield duties for Washington, with Jeremy McNichols also potentially getting involved. Last week, Rodriguez carried the ball 11 times for 52 yards in the win over the New York Giants. He'll get a tougher challenge against the Steelers defense this week, but he could have some desperation flex value for Week 10.
Washington Commanders kicker Austin Seibert (hip) has been downgraded to out ahead of the Week 10 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Seibert suffered a hip injury last week and missed practice time this week because of the issue. The team will ultimately hold out Seibert for Week 10 due to the hip injury, but hopefully it'll only be a one-game absence. Zane Gonzalez has been elevated from the practice squad for Sunday's game. Fantasy managers looking for a streaming option this weekend might want to consider Gonzalez with the Commanders offense rolling right now.
Washington Commanders kicker Austin Seibert (hip) is listed as questionable for Sunday's tilt against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Seibert did not practice on Wednesday but was upgraded to limited capacity on Thursday and Friday. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status over the weekend, as he may be a game-time decision. Since joining the Commanders in Week 2, Seibert has been one of the most productive and stable kickers in fantasy football, as he has gone 25-for-27 on attempts and a perfect 22-for-22 on extra points. If Seibert can play in Week 10, fantasy managers should view him as a high-end option, given how potent the Washington offense has performed this season.
Washington Commanders tight end Zach Ertz should be viewed as a low-end TE1 heading into Week 10 despite his poor showing last weekend. Facing the Giants, Ertz had his worst showing of the season as he brought in his lone target for just five yards. However, during Weeks 6 through 8, Ertz scored at least double-digit PPR points in each of them and averaged seven targets per game. This weekend, even though he will be facing a tough Pittsburgh defense, he should be viewed as a reliable option in deeper formats, given the consistent volume he has seen throughout a majority of the campaign.
Washington Commanders wide receiver Noah Brown has scored at least double-digit PPR points in each of his past two games but remains a risky flex option in Week 10, facing a tough Steeler defense. After catching the game-winning Hail Mary in Week 8, Brown led all Washington pass catchers with five catches for 60 yards in their Week 9 victory over the Giants. Over the past two weeks, Brown has seen six targets in each game. Fantasy managers should expect Brown to continue to be deployed as the clear No.2 wideout in this offense, but he could continue to struggle in certain matchups. This weekend, facing the Steelers, who have allowed the tenth-fewest PPR points to opposing wideouts, could limit his overall production which makes him a risky flex option for deeper formats.
