Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill (wrist) is expected to suit against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, according to NFL Network. The veteran should be Miami's top receiver option as Jaylen Waddle (knee) is unlikely to go, but Miami starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (hip) is doubtful. That would leave quarterback Tyler Huntley in line to start, throwing a wrench into Miami's plans against a Browns defense that ranks 30th against fantasy receivers. Hill is still solid WR2 option, albeit with some risk that comes with being attached to a backup quarterback.
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill (wrist) was limited in practice all week and is officially questionable to play in Week 17 when the team heads to Cleveland to take on the Browns on Sunday. In addition to Hill, receivers Jaylen Waddle (knee) and Dee Eskridge (knee) are also questionable, so Malik Washington (knee) and River Cracraft could suddenly be much more involved this weekend if both Hill and Waddle are out. The 30-year-old Hill has been managing a wrist injury all year but hasn't missed any games because of it, so we're pretty positive he's on the right side of questionable this weekend. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (hip) is also questionable, but Tua, Hill and Waddle are expected to be active. Fantasy managers will want to verify that the Cheetah is active on Sunday, but if he is, he'll be a must-start in lineups against a Browns defense that has allowed the second-most half-PPR points to wideouts this year.
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill (wrist, rest) remained limited in practice for the second straight day this week on Thursday. Hill continues to be listed on Miami's injury report with a wrist injury that he's dealt with pretty much all year. He hasn't missed any games because of it, though, and that won't happen this Sunday in Week 17 against the Cleveland Browns. In all likelihood, the 30-year-old speedster will practice in full on Friday and be removed from the final injury report. In the Week 16 win over the San Francisco 49ers with Jaylen Waddle (knee) out, the Cheetah only caught three of his seven targets for 29 yards, but he also managed to find paydirt for the third time in the last four games. Regardless of whether Waddle plays this weekend, Hill should be considered a must-start high-end WR2/low-end WR1 for fantasy matchups in Week 17.
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill (wrist, rest) was listed as a limited participant on the team's practice estimation Wednesday. It's unclear whether the wrist injury or the rest day was the primary factor for Hill being estimated as limited, but the bottom line is that fantasy managers should continue to monitor his practice status over the next few days. The good news is that a limited practice on Wednesday typically bodes well for a player's availability on Sunday. In fact, last week, Hill missed Wednesday's practice entirely, and he still managed to suit up against the San Francisco 49ers, albeit after being listed as questionable. Managers should check back for updates over the next few days, but as of now, all signs point to the 30-year-old suiting up against a subpar Cleveland Browns pass defense. It's worth noting that Hill could end up starting alongside Malik Washington if teammate Jaylen Waddle (knee), who was estimated as a non-participant on Wednesday, is inactive for a second consecutive week.
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill caught three of his seven targets for 29 yards and a touchdown in their 29-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers. Hill could've had a much bigger game if not for a few dropped passes, one of which could've been another touchdown. With Jaylen Waddle (knee) out in this game, this wasn't exactly the level of production fantasy managers were hoping for. This is the fifth time this season that the 30-year-old had 30 yards or less, and the 11th time he has failed to reach 15 PPR fantasy points. At this point in the season, it's safe to say that Hill was one of the biggest busts of the 2024 season. His next opportunity comes next Sunday afternoon at the Cleveland Browns in Week 17.
