Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert (hip) upgraded to a full practice session on Friday and has been removed from the Week 15 injury report. After missing the Week 14 overtime win over the division-rival New York Jets, Mostert will return to face the Houston Texans on the road this Sunday. The Dolphins will have all three of their RBs active against Houston, with Mostert most likely operating as more of the RB3 behind starter De'Von Achane and rookie Jaylen Wright. After scoring a league-high 18 rushing touchdowns in 2023, the 32-year-old veteran has fallen way back down to Earth and has only two TDs while averaging a career-worst 3.6 yards per carry on 65 rushing attempts. In his last four games, Mostert has 10 carries for 22 rushing yards. He will be picking up scraps behind Achane and belongs on the waiver wire in 12-team fantasy leagues.
Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said he's optimistic about running back Raheem Mostert's (hip) availability for the Week 15 contest on Sunday against the hosting Houston Texans. Mostert was not active for the Week 14 overtime win over the division-rival New York Jets last Sunday, but he appears to be on track to play this weekend after putting in limited practices. It's bad news for any fantasy managers in deeper leagues that were planning on using rookie Jaylen Wright in a flex spot. Mostert himself should be avoided as a flex play if he's active on Sunday in Houston, as the 32-year-old veteran has seen just 10 rushing attempts for 22 yards in his last four games, adding five catches for 46 yards. Even before Mostert's injury, Wright was beginning to take more and more valuable backfield touches away from Mostert behind starter De'Von Achane.
Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert (hip) was limited for the second straight day in practice this week on Thursday. Mostert was also limited in all three practices last week and ended up being inactive for the Week 14 overtime win over the division-rival New York Jets. It means that the 32-year-old veteran is in danger of missing a second straight game unless he upgrades to a full-go in Friday's practice. Even if Mostert practices on Friday and is active in Week 15 on Sunday against the Houston Texans, he won't come recommended as a flex play in fantasy lineups. Mostert has only 65 carries for 236 yards (career-worst 3.6 yards per carry) and two touchdowns in nine games this year and hasn't seen double-digit carries since Nov. 3. Rookie Jaylen Wright had been seeing more reps behind De'Von Achane in recent weeks, although he had only four touches for 13 yards in Week 15 with Mostert out.
Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert (hip) was listed as a limited practice participant on Wednesday. Mostert was limited all of last week in practice and did not suit up for the Week 14 win over the division-rival New York Jets in overtime. The 32-year-old veteran will need to make more progress in practice the next couple days to have a shot at returning to the field this Sunday to face the Houston Texans. After scoring a league-high 18 rushing touchdowns in 15 games for Miami last year and also recording his first-ever 1,000-yard rushing season, Mostert has 65 rushing attempts for only 236 yards and two scores in nine games in 2024 as a much more distant backup to De'Von Achane. Rookie Jaylen Wright was seeing more involvement in the backfield before Mostert's injury, too, so he belongs on the waiver wire in 12-team fantasy leagues.
Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert (hip) is officially inactive for Week 14 against the New York Jets. He had been listed as questionable after being limited in practice all week long. The veteran has handled a very reduced workload and snap share for most of this season, tallying just 236 rushing yards, 117 receiving yards, and two touchdowns through nine games. He ranks as the overall RB54 in fantasy football this year, so he would have belonged on fantasy benches (or waivers) even if active. Look for rookie Jaylen Wright to step up as Miami's No. 2 running back behind De'Von Achane.
