Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert has effectively run the ball in 2024. Besides Week 1, where he left early, he's averaging 4.1 yards per carry and has two touchdowns. However, he has had trouble holding onto the ball in recent weeks. He lost a fumble last week against the Buffalo Bills, which cost Miami in the long run. He gets a matchup this week against a somewhat vulnerable Los Angeles Rams defense. They rank 16th in fantasy points per game allowed to running backs and give up an average of 109.4 yards to running backs. There's potential in this game for a lot of scoring, which could mean goal-line touches for Mostert. He's a formidable flex play in Week 10 and comes in as RotoBallers RB31.
Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert rushed the ball ten times for 56 yards and added two receptions for 32 yards in Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Buffalo Bills. He also lost a fumble. While Mostert has been putting up solid rushing stats since his return in Week 5, his fumbling troubles have overshadowed some of the production. Miami is third in fumbles since 2023 (14). He contributed four of them in 2023 and has two more in 2024. Nonetheless, his yards per carry output remains solid, and he still received 12 touches. The 2023 rushing touchdown leader went empty on the day, but that won't be a regular occurrence. De'Von Achane was able to get in twice from inside the red zone, obviously hurting Mostert's production. He'll look to bounce back in Week 10 at the Los Angeles Rams.
Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert checks into Week 9 coming off a two-touchdown performance last week versus the Arizona Cardinals. The return of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) proved what the offense needed, putting up their highest point total of the season. This week, he gets another great matchup against his division rival, the Buffalo Bills. While Buffalo's defense has been solid this year, they struggle to defend the run. They have allowed the second most fantasy points to opposing running backs in 2024. Additionally, opposing teams are averaging 4.5 yards per carry against them, and they rank 19th in red zone fantasy points allowed to running backs. Mostert should get a healthy dose of touches, considering the temperatures are projected to be in the thirties in Orchard Park on Sunday. Mostert should continue to see goal-line touches, making him a flex-play for Week 9. He comes in at RB31 for this week's RotoBaller running back rankings.
Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert is set to square off against the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday in Week 7. Mostert returned to action in Week 5 after missing three weeks with a chest injury that kept him sidelined since Week 1. The 32-year-old was afforded an extra week of rest with the team's Week 6 bye and is ready to roll for an intriguing Week 7 matchup. Indianapolis has been Swiss Cheese against opposing rushing attacks in 2024, letting up 4.6 yards per rush (fourth-most) and the second-most yards on the ground per game (155.2). The Purdue product's 19 carries in Week 5 led the team. However, with De'Von Achane (concussion) projected to be back in the fold, he may take somewhat of a backseat. Before Achane was forced from the victory against the Patriots two weeks back, he received three of the first five backfield touches, while Mostert and rookie RB Jaylen Wright split the other two. Mostert was the preferred option sans Achane, but it's tough to project him to lead his teammates with all backs healthy. The former undrafted free agent is RotoBaller's PPR RB38 in this week's rankings.
Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert rushed 19 times for 80 yards in Sunday's 15-10 win over the New England Patriots. He added two receptions and 18 yards on two targets. It was the 32-year-old's first action since Week 1, and he appeared to be over the chest injury that kept him out of the prior three contests. It's unclear whether or not the plan was to give Mostert 20+ touches, but after running back De'Von Achane (concussion) was forced from the outing in the first quarter, he split the workload with rookie RB Jaylen Wright. Both backs were productive for the Dolphins, but Mostert was out-rushed by the rookie despite racking up six more carries. With Miami heading into their Week 6 bye, Achane will be afforded a larger window to clear the NFL's concussion protocol and will likely be ready to suit up when the team lines up against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 7. Presumably, the former undrafted free agent will split most of the backfield touches with the Texas A&M product in that one. However, Wright may have worked himself into the backfield rotation with his efficient outing.
