Washington Commanders wide receiver Noah Brown (groin) was listed as limited for the first practice of the week on Wednesday. It's an upgrade for Brown, who missed practice all of last week before sitting out of the Week 5 win over the Cleveland Browns. While there's no guarantee he'll return this Sunday to face the Baltimore Ravens, the 28-year-old is at least making progress and could have a shot to be active. Dyami Brown and Olamide Zaccheaus got some more run behind WR1 Terry McLaurin last weekend with Noah Brown sidelined. Through three games in his first year in D.C., Noah Brown has caught only nine passes on 10 targets for 111 yards and no touchdowns. Washington's offense has looked great under impressive rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels so far in 2024, but Noah Brown is merely a deep-league stash.
Washington Commanders wide receiver Noah Brown (groin) was ruled out for Sunday's game, according to JP Finlay of 1067 The Fan. Brown participated in Wednesday's practice in a limited fashion but was unable to practice on Thursday, which suggests the injury was more severe than previously expected. The 28-year-old has begun to emerge as the No.2 wideout opposite of Terry McLaurin, as he has caught three passes in every game and saw a season-high four targets last week. Through this stretch, Brown has averaged 37 yards each game. Fantasy managers should expect Terry McLaurin, tight end Zach Ertz, and running back Austin Ekeler to see a slight uptick in targets with Brown sitting out. Third-round pick Luke McCaffrey could also see an increase in playing time along with Olamide Zaccheaus and Dyami Brown and are worth a look as a flex option in 14+ team leagues.
Washington Commanders wide receiver Noah Brown (groin) was unable to practice on Thursday, which was a downgrade after he was limited in the first practice of the week on Wednesday. Mid-week downgrades are never usually a good thing, so Brown's status for the Week 5 game against the Cleveland Browns this Sunday is now up in the air. The 28-year-old will likely need to get back on the practice field on Friday to avoid being ruled out entirely. Brown didn't make his Washington debut until Week 2 and has contributed nine receptions on 10 targets for 111 yards and no touchdowns in three games to this point in 2024. He's been competing for targets behind WR1 Terry McLaurin with rookie Luke McCaffrey, Dyami Brown and Olamide Zaccheaus. Washington's offense is on the rise under impressive rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, but for now, Brown is mainly just a stash candidate in deeper fantasy leagues, especially with him banged up this week.
Washington Commanders wide receiver Noah Brown logged a season-high 32 snaps in Week 3 and has quickly ascended the Washington depth chart. Brown signed with Washington late in August and did not suit up for the season opener. In Week 2, Brown caught three passes for an impressive 56 yards on just 20 snaps. He followed that up with an increase in his snap count to 32 (second-most at the position) as he caught another three passes, this time for just 29 yards. Fantasy managers should continue to view Brown as a stash candidate in deeper formats as he has flashed big-play ability throughout his NFL career. This weekend, he has a favorable matchup and could be considered as a flex option in DFS contests, given his affordable price.
Washington Commanders wide receiver Noah Brown caught three passes for 29 yards on three targets in the team's win over Cincinnati on Monday night. The former Cowboys wide receiver was involved mostly in the short passing game for Jayden Daniels. Terry McLaurin was by far the most productive Washington wide receiver in this game but Brown did have a role to play on the outside. With Luke McCaffrey as the slot receiver, Brown could become more involved as the outside receiver opposite McLaurin. But Daniels looks to run often and there aren't a ton of opportunities for receivers to make big plays in this offense. It's best to leave Brown on the fantasy waiver wire.
