The Las Vegas Raiders announced on Tuesday night that the team has placed wide receiver Michael Gallup on the reserve/retired list. After six seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, the 28-year-old Gallup signed a one-year pact with the Raiders, where he amassed 266 receptions for 3,744 yards and 21 touchdowns. Gallup's 2023 saw his statistics take a sharp decline, with just 34 receptions, 418 receiving yards, and two touchdowns. The Raiders signed Gallup to add some depth to a receiving corps that, after Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers, was short on experience and a veteran presence. Instead, Gallup has called it a career before Raiders training camp opens on Wednesday.

The quarterback situation also won't help his fantasy potential. Yet, Gallup could have a few decent outings with the Raiders, and his stock will rise if Adams or Meyers goes down with an injury at some point during the 2024-25 campaign.

In addition to Gallup, the Panthers will visit with Mike Williams (knee), who was recently released by the Los Angeles Chargers for salary cap purposes. The 28-year-old Gallup would join Johnson, Adam Thielen and Jonathan Mingo if he were to sign with the Panthers. Gallup had 1,000 yards in his sophomore season in 2019 in Dallas but has been on the decline since and hasn't had more than 445 receiving yards in each of the last three seasons.

Instead, he's probably headed for a WR3 or WR4 role in 2024, leaving him off the fantasy football radar in most formats.
