Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs (quad) has been ruled out for Week 18 versus the Denver Broncos. This should not come as a surprise considering Jacobs missed all three practices this week. The 25-year-old had been impressive for most of the season before missing the Raiders' final four games of the year. This has been difficult for fantasy managers in the playoffs, especially those who were unable to add Zamir White to their rosters. White is expected to lead the Raiders' backfield this week versus Denver, ranking as a low-end fantasy RB3.
Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs (quadriceps) will be a game-time decision for the Week 18 regular season finale against the Denver Broncos on Sunday. Jacobs has missed the last three contests and didn't practice at all on Wednesday or Thursday. However, the Raiders aren't ruling the 25-year-old out for the final game of the year under interim head coach Antonio Pierce. If Jacobs is indeed active on Sunday against the division-rival Broncos, fantasy managers should consider him an extremely volatile starting option with the Raiders likely to limit his snaps in his first game back, especially since backup Zamir White has been extremely efficient as the team's lead back the last three games with Jacobs sidelined.
Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs (quadriceps) missed another practice on Thursday. Interim head coach Antonio Pierce said on Wednesday that Jacobs is expected to be a game-time decision for the Week 18 regular season finale against the Denver Broncos this Sunday, but the 25-year-old will probably need to practice on Friday, at least on a limited basis, if he's going to be a realistic option to play in what is a meaningless game between division rivals. Jacobs hasn't played in the last three games due to his quad issue and would be a very volatile, high-priced DFS asset on top of it. Zamir White has been excellent as the Raiders' starting RB the last three games, averaging 4.83 yards per carry for 285 yards and a touchdown on 59 attempts while catching eight passes for 51 yards. White is the better DFS value against a vulnerable Broncos rush defense if Jacobs is inactive.
Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs (quad) is going to be a game-time decision for the Week 18 game against the Denver Broncos, according to interim head coach Antonio Pierce. Last year's rushing champion has missed each of the last three games due to a quad injury, and although the Raiders are eliminated from playoff contention, he wants to "fight until the end." If he plays, he's a must-start fantasy option against a Broncos defense that has allowed the second-most fantasy points per game to running backs this year. If he can't suit up, Zamir White remains an RB1 or RB2 option in the favorable matchup. This could be Jacobs' final game as a Raider, so it will be interesting to see if he can get healthy enough to play in the season finale. UPDATE: Jacobs did not practice Wednesday.
