Green Bay Packers wide receivers Jayden Reed (ankle), Christian Watson (ankle), and Dontayvion Wicks (shoulder) were all officially limited participants for the team's Wednesday practice. Tight end Tucker Kraft (groin) was also limited. Yikes. As of now, wideouts Romeo Doubs, Malik Heath, and Bo Melton are the only three receivers on the roster without a designation. Watson played through the ankle injury he sustained a few weeks back in last week's contest, so it's likely just a maintenance day for the third-year wideout. However, Reed and Wicks picked up their respective injuries in the 34-13 win over the Arizona Cardinals. The former returned to action -- with minimal production -- while the latter did not return in the victory. In the case of Wicks, head coach Matt LaFleur remarked that he "dodged a bullet," and it seems the team is optimistic he misses little to no time. Fantasy managers should closely monitor the Packers' WR room over the coming days.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed led the Packers with six targets and put a touchdown on the board as the Packers handled the Arizona Cardinals 34-13 in Week 6. Reed scored the first points of the game with five-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Jordan Love. In the first half, Reed hurt his ankle, was deemed questionable to return but came back into the game. Reed caught all six of his targets for 28 yards plus a score and had a rushing attempt for no gain. While Reed didn't have an extraordinary day on the stat sheet, he saved his day with that first-quarter touchdown and should have a better day when the Packers host the Houston Texans in Week 7. Consider Reed a low-end WR1 for that matchup.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed should be targeted plenty in the Packers' upcoming matchup in Week 6 where they'll host the Arizona Cardinals. Reed has been a big play waiting to happen for Green Bay this season and has emerged as the Packers' unquestioned top target and playmaker in their offense. With a four-catch, 78-yard effort along with 19 rushing yards last week against the Los Angeles Rams, that stat line represented his worst game of the three games with Jordan Love starting at quarterback. With other receivers returning to the lineup like Romeo Doubs and potentially Christian Watson (ankle) who is listed as questionable in the injury report, Reed's targets may shift slightly, but Reed is still in a great position heading into Week 6. He's become a must-start wide receiver for fantasy managers and should be universally started.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed was a major factor in the Packers' victory over the Los Angeles Rams in Week 5. Reed was second on the Packers in targets (6) while catching four balls for 78 yards, including a 53-yard deep catch in the first quarter through multiple Rams defenders that helped to set up a Josh Jacobs rushing score to cap off the drive. In addition to his receiving, Reed also added two rushing attempts for 19 yards. Despite a solid game without a score, Reed is still the top receiving target for the Green Bay offense and should have some better days ahead. Week 6 brings the Arizona Cardinals to Lambeau Field, where Reed should be considered a high-end WR2 in fantasy.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed has a beautiful matchup on tap as the Packers travel west to face the Los Angeles Rams in Week 5. Last week, Reed put up a WR2 overall week with 139 receiving on seven receptions, adding a touchdown grab in the Packers' comeback bid that fell short to the Vikings. In fact, in the two games Reed has played with quarterback Jordan Love, he's been overall WR1 in Week 1 and WR2 last week. The Packers may also be down a couple of receivers as Romeo Doubs (personal) and Christian Watson (ankle) are both listed as doubtful on the injury report, leaving Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, and Tucker Kraft as the primary pass-catchers for Love and the Packers. Lock in Reed as a fantasy WR1 in an exploitable matchup against the Rams this week.
