Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed was placed on the non-football injury list ahead of training camp, and he is not practicing on Day 1. However, the second-year playmaker said he suffered a minor toe injury at his youth camp, and it is "nothing to worry about." This is promising news for his availability later in camp as he looks to build off a strong rookie performance. The No. 50 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft posted 64 receptions for 793 yards and eight touchdowns and added 119 yards and two scores as a rusher in 2023. Although ascending quarterback Jordan Love is likely to spread targets around in 2024, Reed should continue to see manufactured touches and be a difference-maker in the red zone.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed (undisclosed) was placed on the Non-Football Injury list on Sunday. The second-year wideout suffered an injury while away from the team. However, he is "totally fine" and expected to miss only a few days of training camp before his eventual activation. Reed had an impressive first season in the National Football League, amassing 793 yards and eight touchdowns off 64 catches, adding 119 yards and two scores off 11 carries. With Jordan Love anticipated to have a solid year in 2024-25, Reed has 1,000-yard receiving potential, meaning he'll draw plenty of interest from fantasy managers heading toward Week 1.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed caught all four of his targets for a gain of 35 yards and took his lone carry for a nine-yard gain during the team's 21-24 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. The rookie went without a catch last week but ended the Divisional Round loss tied for the most receptions on the team. Reed was one of the breakout rookie wide receivers for fantasy managers over the back half of the regular season. While he did not do a ton in the postseason, Reed will enter the 2024 regular season as one of the top Packers skill position players to target in fantasy drafts. Romeo Doubs was the most productive Green Bay receiver during the playoffs, and Christian Watson did little as he made his way back from a hamstring injury. All three of these names will likely land as late-round draft selections, with Reed having the most upside.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed will go on the road to take on the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs on Saturday. The rookie led the Packers in receiving yards this season and was a late-season fantasy breakout, but failed to catch any of his three targets last week and played only 26 of the 56 offensive snaps. This was likely due to recovering from the chest injury that had given him problems toward the end of the regular season. All of the Packers receivers are healthy heading into the weekend, meaning the target share is going to be spread around even more by quarterback Jordan Love. With that said Reed has been a massive part of the Packers' success over the back half of the season and remains a flex option in DFS formats this weekend.
Green Bay Packers wide receivers Christian Watson (hamstring) and Jayden Reed (chest) were both listed as limited in practice for the second straight day this week on Wednesday. Watson missed the final games of the regular season but returned for the wild-card win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday and played just 41 percent of the offensive snaps while catching one pass for a nine-yard gain. The 24-year-old should see the field more on Saturday against the San Francisco 49ers, but it's a bad matchup and Green Bay's impressive receiver depth is going to make it difficult for Watson to make a difference for fantasy managers. Reed, meanwhile, played just 26 of 56 snaps against Dallas and didn't catch any of his three targets. The 23-year-old rookie did have 10 total touchdowns in 2023, but he'll be a touchdown-dependent DFS play against San Fran.
