Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco (quadricep, shoulder) is not expected to play in Week 18 versus the Los Angeles Chargers, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. He had been listed as questionable. Rapoport's post seemed to indicate that Pacheco may be active but only used on an emergency basis, putting him behind Clyde Edwards-Helaire and La'Mical Perine on the Chiefs' depth chart. The former ranks as a mid-range RB2 option in most fantasy leagues this week.
Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco (quad, shoulder) is expected to suit up in Week 18, according to head coach Andy Reid. The young back was limited during the final two days of practice this week. Pacheco is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Reid says that Pacheco is going to play, but it seems like a bad idea to have Pacheco play in a meaningless game. The Chiefs are already locked into the third seed, which gives them no incentive to play their starters. Possibly, Pacheco sees a limited amount of snaps just to keep him fresh. DFS players should probably look elsewhere for help this weekend.
Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco (quadriceps, shoulder) was back on the practice field on Thursday and put in a limited session after he was a non-participant on Wednesday. Pacheco's injuries don't appear to be too serious, however, he'll be a candidate to be rested in the Week 18 regular season finale against the Los Angeles Chargers with the Chiefs having already locked up the No. 3 seed in the AFC. The 24-year-old could sit entirely this weekend or only play a limited number of snaps, making him a very risky DFS play and single-season lineup option. Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) appears ready to return from an illness that sidelined him last weekend, so he, La'Mical Perine and Keaontay Ingram could get more work against the Bolts if Pacheco is rested.
Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco (quadriceps) will not practice with the team on Wednesday, according to head coach Andy Reid. Even if Pacheco's quadriceps injury isn't all that serious and he returns to practice later this week, he'll be a candidate to be rested in a meaningless Week 18 regular season finale against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. The Chiefs have already announced that they will rest quarterback Patrick Mahomes, so Pacheco's fantasy value would be taking a pretty big hit if he actually sees any playing time this weekend. Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) missed the Week 17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals but could be back this week and would likely serve as KC's lead back if Pacheco is rested. Other options in KC's backfield for this weekend include La'Mical Perine and Keaontay Ingram.
Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco (concussion) tallied career-high rushing yardage in Sunday's 25-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, piling up 130 yards on 18 carries while bringing in all seven of his targets for 35 yards and a touchdown. Ticketed for a heavy workload in Week 17, Pacheco came roaring out of the gates for 46 rushing yards on K.C.'s first drive and topped it off with an eight-yard receiving TD. Pacheco rumbled for 37 more yards to set up a scoring drive before halftime. The Chiefs have to be pleased with the 2022 seventh-rounder's development into one of the NFL's most balanced runners, unveiling keen ball-carrier vision and elusiveness on top of his distinctive bruising rushing style, with Sunday's showing also marking career bests in catches and targets. Pacheco's Week 18 fantasy expectations against the Los Angeles Chargers will hinge largely upon his playing time after the team clinched the AFC West title on Sunday.
