Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf (hand) will check in as a WR2 in Week 6 against the San Francisco 49ers. He is currently listed on the injury report with a hand injury but should be good to go in Week 6 as he has been nursing the injury for a couple of weeks now. Metcalf has been excellent in 2024 and currently sits as the WR11 in fantasy. The 49ers are the 10th-best defense against wide receivers in fantasy, but Metcalf's big play ability gives him major upside. The 49ers as a whole have not been the same juggernaut as they have been in recent years. They will visit Seattle with a 2-3 record. This game feels like it could be a close one. Metcalf is coming off two straight games with a lost fumble. Fantasy managers can only wonder if it has something to do with his injury. However, if he can clean up the turnovers, he should have a nice game. He has recorded 28 receptions for 421 yards in five games this season. He should be in your lineup once again in Week 6.
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf fumbled again in Week 5. Metcalf's total statistical output was modest by his standards. After surpassing 100 receiving yards in three straight games, Metcalf finished with four catches for 55 yards and no touchdowns. The Seahawks offense as a whole was held in check by a scrappy Giants defense. If it weren't for the fumble, Metcalf would have had a semi-productive outing. However, he ended up falling well short of his WR1 expectations. Fantasy managers should be unconcerned with Metcalf's performance. While it is disappointing that he has fumbled in two straight games, it is unlikely to be a regular occurrence. Metcalf will look to bounce back in Week 6 in a huge divisional game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf (hand) has been nothing short of excellent in 2024. Metcalf has 24 receptions for 366 yards and two touchdowns this season. He has dominated three weeks in a row with over 100 receiving yards. The New York Giants are the No. 14 team against opposing wide receivers but there is no one on their defense who should scare you away from Metcalf at home. It is noteworthy that Metcalf is nursing a hand injury. He was able to practice fully on Wednesday but was downgraded to limited on Thursday. Metcalf's practice participation will need to be closely monitored as we head into the weekend. However, if Metcalf plays then he will be a no-brainer starter in fantasy football.
Seattle Seahawks wide receivers DK Metcalf (hand) and Tyler Lockett (thigh) were both limited in Thursday's practice. Metcalf was a full-go on Wednesday, so he was downgraded a day later. Lockett has been limited in both practices this week. The Seahawks were likely just giving Metcalf a little extra rest on Thursday. Neither he nor Lockett are in any danger of missing the Week 5 matchup against the visiting New York Giants. Metcalf had just three catches for 29 yards in the season opener but is now on a three-game run of going over 100 yards receiving while also scoring twice. He is a must-start against the Giants in fantasy this weekend. Lockett has been dealing with a thigh injury since training camp but hasn't missed any time. He has a lower floor and ceiling in fantasy as a WR4/flex with Jaxon Smith-Njigba eating into his targets. Lockett has 18 receptions (26 targets) for 199 yards and no touchdowns through four games.
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf finished Monday night's game with seven receptions for 104 yards. He did lose a fumble in the first half that proved to be costly as the Seahawks were never able to close the one-touchdown gap with the Lions. Metcalf has now gone over 100 yards in three straight games. This offense looks really good in 2024 and should only continue to improve as the players and coaching staff get more comfortable. Unlike in previous seasons, this Seahawks regime has made it a point to force-feed Metcalf the ball. He is currently on pace for 153 targets which would shatter his previous career high. Look for Metcalf to continue his excellent run when the Seahawks play the New York Giants in Week 5.
