Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert caught all five of his targets for 61 yards during the team's 26-18 win over the Washington Commanders on Thursday night. The veteran had a big catch and run of over 30 yards that almost turned into a costly turnover, but backup Grant Calcaterra recovered it. Goedert's 61 yards were the second-highest on the team Thursday behind only A.J. Brown. The Eagles were crushing the Commanders on the ground with Saquon Barkley, leading to another pedestrian performance for the Eagles pass catchers. With that said, by tight end standards this season, Goedert had a solid night and will be a fringe TE1 again next week against the LA Rams.
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert will take on the Washington Commanders on Thursday night football in Week 11. The 29-year-old made his return to the field last week from a hamstring injury and found the end zone on a limited snap count. He picked up a DNP on Monday in practice with an ankle injury but was left off the final injury report Wednesday and is good to go for Thursday night. Washington is middle of the pack against fantasy tight ends this season, so the matchup should not scare anyone away from starting Goedert. With that said, there is a chance the Eagles will take a run-heavy approach in the contest to keep the high-powered Washington offense off the field as much as possible, potentially leading to a light target share for the veteran. Consider Goedert a fringe TE1 in Week 11.
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert (ankle) was a limited participant in practice on Tuesday. Goedert returned from injury in Week 10 against the Dallas Cowboys and scored a respectable 10.5 fantasy points. He also scored his first touchdown on the season in Week 10. Prior to his injury, Goedert had been one of the best tight ends in fantasy so his return to the lineup is a welcome one for fantasy managers. Goedert draws a solid matchup in Week 11 against the Washington Commanders. Both teams' defenses have improved as the season has gone on but both offenses are potent and should generate a lot of passing attempts. That bodes well for Goedert who is the third option on his team behind wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. Although Goedert was listed as a DNP on Monday, his activity on Tuesday suggests that he should suit up once again in Week 11. He should be a solid fantasy option if healthy.
The Philadelphia Eagles listed tight end Dallas Goedert (ankle) as a non-participant on Monday's estimated practice report since they didn't actually hold an official practice. Goedert missed three games due to injury but returned in the Week 10 blowout win over the division-rival Dallas Cowboys to catch two of his three targets for 25 yards and a touchdown. With the 29-year-old not reportedly suffering any setbacks on Sunday, he's likely just being rested on a short week before playing again this Thursday night against the division-rival Washington Commanders. Check back on Wednesday for Philly's final injury report before Thursday's game. Goedert is at least in the low-end TE1 conversation when healthy, but volume could be an issue with all of the team's receivers healthy at the moment. If Goedert's ankle is an issue this Thursday, Grant Calcaterra could step into a bigger role again.
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert converted his three targets into two catches for 25 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's Week 10 win over the Dallas Cowboys. Although his volume was quite low, he salvaged his fantasy performance by finding the end zone in Philadelphia's big 34-6 win. The 29-year-old is averaging 12.9 fantasy points per game (PPR) this year and should be treated as a mid-to-low TE1 heading into Week 11 versus the Washington Commanders.
