Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown had 120 yards off 27 carries in Sunday's win over the Raiders. He added five catches for 57 yards and a touchdown, finding the end zone off a one-yard pass from Joe Burrow in the first quarter. With Zack Moss (neck) inactive for this one, Brown had one of the best performances of his career. It's clear he's now the top option on the depth chart, so he's a must-start on Thursday night against the Ravens, regardless if Moss is back in the mix.

Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown has taken over as the undisputed option out of the backfield. Granted, Zack Moss (neck) has remained involved. However, with Moss doubtful for the Week 9 matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders, that should mean even more work for Brown. The 24-year-old has found the end zone at least once in four of the Bengals' previous five contests. Although he has averaged only 4.6 yards per carry, he's made up for it (to a degree) by getting some targets from Joe Burrow. His chances of seeing more attention from Burrow will increase if Moss and Tee Higgins (quadriceps) are ruled out. But even if those players are miraculously on the field versus Vegas, Brown should continue to be considered a starting fantasy option.

While Brown had trouble getting anything going on the ground, he at least found the end zone in Week 8, scoring off a four-yard run in the third quarter. Even more encouraging for Brown's fantasy managers, Zack Moss would finish this one with only five attempts. The 24-year-old has now had at least one touchdown in five of the Bengals' last six outings, keeping him a starting fantasy option in Week 9 versus the visiting Las Vegas Raiders.

Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown now sits atop the depth chart. While Zack Moss remains involved, he had only six carries for seven yards in Week 7 versus the Browns. On the other hand, Brown logged 15 touches for 44 yards to end the day. Although Moss has the edge in red zone opportunities so far this season, Brown is by far a safer fantasy option for Week 8 versus the Philadelphia Eagles. With that in mind, the Eagles have been solid against opposing running backs throughout the 2024-25 campaign, so the 24-year-old is hard to trust in any fantasy format.

The 24-year-old scored in each of his last three appearances. While he cooled off in this one, he still outperformed teammate Zack Moss, who didn't have a quality afternoon. It appears Brown will continue to lead the backfield, keeping him a starting fantasy option for Week 8 against the Eagles, but the continued presence of Moss in this backfield will cap Brown's fantasy upside.
